This time, I stayed in a suite on the Heaven level, and the room size was quite ordinary. Compared to others, the bathroom is quite large, and Bill Bensley's personal touch is not to have a shower partition, which always makes one worry about water splashing out and wetting the bath mat. The monkeys here are mostly not afraid of people, so the hotel staff will repeatedly remind you to lock the balcony door when leaving the room, as the monkeys can still open it if it's just closed. The room was super clean and nicely designed, plenty of space with a really huge bathroom with bathtub. Restaurants serving excellent nice meals, with live music from time to time, there was so much the hotel was offering from cooking lessons to yoga and water sports. The service of the staff was top notch and impeccable with how attentive they are, always willing to go the extra mile and offering more. Once you're at the beach or swimming pool, the staff would constantly check whether you need towel or any other support. Though it's a distance from the city, but this is really for an exclusive beach side relaxing hols, so you won't feel the effect of a bustling city and the view is not affected by the buildings around the city as well. InterContinental Da Nang is a resort that Bill Bensley spent six years to build. This is also the fifth hotel designed by Bill that I have personally checked in. The design absorbs the local architectural features of Vietnam. The black and white colors represent the black lacquered wood and white bricks in Vietnamese temples, a style that is too familiar. You can check in at InterContinental Da Nang while lying down. After getting off the bus, pass the pool in the middle, and you will see an open terrace facing the sea, with a large bed on each side, and the welcome drink is iced roselle water, and you can just lie on the bed and hand in your passport to the front desk. The hotel is built on the mountain. The lobby is the highest point in the entire resort. The guest rooms are located in descending order, named Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea respectively. I had the pleasure of staying here for two nights with my friends, and I truly felt all my stress melt away. The resort is situated in the serene Son Tra Peninsula, away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, making it a perfect retreat. It's so beautifully immersed in nature, and I loved encountering the playful monkeys that roam the area. They are undeniably adorable, but please remember to keep your door closed; if not, they might sneak in and make a bit of a mess while searching for food. 😊 One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. It was a delightful spread of fresh fruits and various dishes, and the staff were incredibly caring and attentive, making us feel right at home.
