No.9 of Best Things to Do in Santorini
Address:
Imerovigli, Santorini
Recommended sightseeing time:
0.5-1 day
Greece in July... is not just a place name, it has a place in my heart!
When traveling, some places are not just place names, but special places that are deeply engraved in your heart. Santorini, Greece in July, and Imeroviglio in particular, was such a place. 🌊
Imeroviglio is a small town that makes you feel as if time has stopped flowing. It actually felt like time was passing slowly. 🩵 When the sun sets, the white buildings are dyed in red sunset light, creating a mystical spectacle. As you walk through the alleys here, you will be greeted by small, hidden cafes and shops, and you will feel your heart at ease in the quiet atmosphere. It is the epitome of slow life.
A glass of wine while looking at the sea from the terrace makes you forget all the worries of the world, and when you see the blue waves of the sea gently rippling, it is so beautiful that you feel as if you are in a scene from a movie. And at that moment, I was sure that every moment here would be forever memorable☺
The daily life in Imerovigli is simple, but the happiness found in it gives a deep satisfaction that is hard to find in any fancy travel destination. Unlike other famous areas in Santorini, it was not crowded with tourists, so I could feel the more leisurely and authentic charm of Greece!
The memories here are precious treasures that I want to keep for the rest of my life.
Someday, I definitely want to visit Imerovigli again and feel the peace and happiness I felt back then...✨

Santorini
Santorini is one of the destinations I love coming back to. Not only is the island special because of famous Oia sunsets, but also the dramatic cliff views, delicious seafood served by the Amoudi Bay and a vast selection of of the most incredible hotels offering stunning Caledra views.
My favourite activities while visiting Santorini include:
*wandering the picturesque streets of Imerovigli
*setting off a scenic trek from Thira to Oia
*taking a sunset catamaran cruise
*visiting the Red Beach at sunrise before the crowds arrive
*snacking tzatziki in one of my favourite restaurants on the island- Naoussa
My favourite time to visit Santorini is April and the main reasons are less crowds and significant accommodation price drop. The weather then is already mild and pleasant for sightseeing.
The top place to stay is Imerovigli- home to all the luxury pool villas overlooking the cliffside. It’s equally beautiful as Oia, yet less crowded.
My best stays include Chromata Santorini, Charisma Suites, San Antonio, Marizan Cave Suites and Canaves Oia.

Who became fascinated with Greece because of mythology and legends?
Greece is the birthplace of Western civilization, creating a brilliant culture with great achievements in poetry, architecture, painting, mathematics, philosophy, music, sculpture, and more. The most worthwhile souvenirs to buy are sculptures from Greek mythology, olive oil soap, jewelry, and so on. Many friends who come to Greece for tourism are fascinated by Greek mythology, and the classic scenic spots, religious culture, and human architecture along the way are also closely related to these myths.

As the dusk falls, the colorful boats set sail under the towering white city walls. Do you also think of the fleet of Agamemnon? Looking far away at the Peloponnese Peninsula, where is the Thermopylae? Where is Leonidas and his 300 warriors? Greek mythology is deeply imprinted in the mind, and this scene seems to reproduce the old times. For more discounted travel products, please click the link. Greece is waiting for your appreciation.

Most people go to Oia or Fira in Santorini. In fact, Imerovigli is also a great place to travel.
Imerovigli is the highest town in Santorini, the best place to watch the sunset, known as the "Aegean Sea Balcony".
is associated with Imerovigli because when I took a taxi from Iya to Fira, the driver was placed under Imerovigli, and it was funny that it was Fira. But the journey is like this will always make a mistake. Imerovigli's scenery is not as good as that of Oia, but the business atmosphere is much less, and the sense of exquisiteness and excitement is worse.
