La Parra Gastronomic space in Montblanc
If you visit the medieval town of Montblanc you should not miss this space where to try some of the local dishes in a beautiful environment
La Parra - Jardi Gastronomic is an open air space located in a beautiful garden that used to be a small vineyard next to the main wall of Montblanc
Despite being in such a tourist location the guests are mostly locals and the service is smooth and nice.
The food is mostly served as a menu: with a starter, main and dessert per person. Some specialties include the croquetas or patatas bravas, typical tapas to share.
But the highlight is undoubtedly the grilled mains: like pork ribs, or the T-bone beef steak 🥩

The remains of a once glorious castle
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Tarragona (Region)
The remains of the Château de Montblanc are a fascinating place to visit, observe and relive its past, with more than 1,500 meters of walls, towers and grand residences from a bygone era, which have been preserved through restoration. This remains true to this day. It is not just a castle, but also a viewing point. You can also see the wall that surrounds the city, which is still intact. We climbed easily for about 15 minutes.

The walls surrounding the medieval complex are very interesting and one of the best preserved in Catalonia
Spanish Mediterranean Coast Tour ~ Tarragona (Region)
The best option for exploring the town is to park your vehicle outside the city walls and tour the old town on foot. The most important buildings in the complex include the Church of Santa María la Mayor, a Gothic church (14th-16th centuries) with a Baroque porch (17th century); the Church of San Miquel, with a Romanesque facade (13th century) and a Gothic main body (14th century); and the Church of San Marçal, also in Gothic style (14th century).
The medieval area also has a large number of Gothic civil buildings, such as the Royal Palace (14th century), the Castellana Palace (15th century), the Alenia (Gothic) and the House of Clergue (16th century) as well as the Josa House, which is of medieval origin.
Outside the city walls, the Gothic buildings of St. Francis Church (13th century) and St. Magdalena Hospital (14th-16th centuries) are worth mentioning.
In addition, in the Rochas area of Montblanc, there are cave paintings designated as a World Heritage Site. In Montblanc, the Prades Mountains Visitor Center will provide visitors with all the information they need about the cave paintings.
Montblanc also owns a modernist winery designed by architect Cèsar Martinell.

Montblanc - medieval town in Spain
Montblanc is a town located about 1 hour drive south from Barcelona, near the city of Tarragona in Catalonia region, Spain.
It has preserved its medieval past which can be enjoyed walking through its cobblestone covered streets and on the walls of the houses that still remain in the old downtown.
This part of the town is surround by a wall that had the goal of protecting the inhabitants of Montblanc in the ancient times.
You can enjoy this destination any time of the year, but certainly autumn or spring are ideal season to visit because the weather is nice and the colors in the forests on the surrounding mountains make it even more beautiful.
Specially recommended, during the month of April when the village recreates the tale of Sant Jordi, a knife who slayed a dragon to save the princess from being devoured 🐉
