Hong Kong 3-Day Holiday Travel Guide
🗺️🗺️ 【Travel Plan】This trip, we have scheduled 5 temples:
• Goddess of Mercy, Repulse Bay
• Che Kung Temple |
• Kwan Tai Temple |
• Hong Hum Temple |
• Hong Kong Red Thread Temple, also known as Jikong Temple, Kwong-Fook-I-Tsz
Day 1:
- The flight departed at around 2am and arrived in Hong Kong at 5am, almost 6am. I walked in a daze through immigration. After passing through, I went straight to the counter to buy a temporary Octopus card with a 50HKD deposit. Then, I opened Google to search for a hotel at Eco Tree Causeway Bay. I walked to the sign as Google told me to. I left my bags and took the tram and then the bus to worship Goddess of Mercy, Repulse Bay.
After I finished worshiping, I took the bus back to worship Jikong Temple, the Hong Kong Red Thread Temple. Yesterday, we walked to 2 cafe, stopped to buy Pineapple Bun to fill our stomachs, before walking to eat roast goose at Yat Lok and returned to the hotel. Rested a bit before going shopping and eating shaved ice at Shari Shari.
Day 2:
- Started by walking to eat breakfast at North Point area first. It is an old Hong Kong tofu shop. Before walking back, stopped to buy Hong Kong soy sauce to eat with fried pork. Stopped by to store our stuff at the hotel. Now we are ready to explore 3 temples.
Open Google and search for the farthest temple, which is Che Kung Temple. Then, we went to Kwun Yu Temple but stopped to eat roast pork and roast pork rice in Sham Shui Po to satisfy our hunger first. Then, we continued to worship at the last temple, Kwun Yin Temple, and ended the day with dim sum in Jordan, Dim Dim Sum shop, and Shari Shari shaved ice shop in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Day 3:
- Since we are in Hong Kong, we started the day with roast pork rice at Ki’s Roasted Goose 😅 The food here is quite delicious. We also met a kind Hong Kong uncle who treated us to roast pork. Today, we focused on walking around, relaxing before going to the airport.

Traveling in Hong Kong Google can help a lot. It tells you how to travel and how long to wait for the bus. It is quite accurate but there may be some slight errors.
As for traveling by subway or MTR, first-timers may be a little confused because there are many lines. But there is an easy trick: look at the colors and symbols of the travel time. Don't memorize them because you will forget!!
