#timetotravel As a cat lover, I was elated to find out that Taipei has its very own Cat Village. The Houtong Cat Village is located in the Ruifang district, which is a 15 mins drive away from Jioufen. When we arrived, I was initially disappointed as there were no cats greeting me at the entrance. However, as we climbed the stairs, we found many cats of different breeds and they were all very friendly and cute. Fun Fact: Houtong was initially a small mining town and it was only in 2008, a group of cat lovers volunteered to offer the abandoned cats in Houtong a better life and posted these cats online, thus attracting a huge response from cat lovers globally and now it has become a center for cat lovers. I am so lucky as there was a shower rain on that day (not heavy rain) so, there were still a chance to meet some cat. I am walking to the mountain top and the weather is about 15 or 16 degree.
