[2024 Sapporo Stay] Travel Guide for Hotel Vista Sapporo Odori (Updated Nov)
Recommended accommodation for shopping in Sapporo.
This winter, I came to beautiful Sapporo, Hokkaido on a business trip and stayed at Sapporo Odori West Hotel. The hotel is located in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, at 5-16 Minami 3-Jo Nishi, Chuo-Ku, which is a very convenient location. It is only a few minutes' walk from the hotel to Tanukikoji Shopping Street, Odori Station, and Susukino Station. There are many restaurants and shops near Tanukikoji Shopping Street, and there is even a 24-hour Don Quijote department store, which is simply a paradise for shopping and food.
🚇 The hotel is in a great location, just a 1 hour and 30 minute bus ride from the airport. It is only a 5-minute walk from Odori Subway Station and a 4-minute walk from Susukino Station. On the day of check-in, even though it was not yet time to check in, the front desk staff was very polite and helped me store my luggage, so I could go shopping nearby. The overall decoration style of the hotel is simple and modern, without luxurious decoration, but it is clean and tidy. The reception experience in the lobby is also very good, the staff are very enthusiastic, and the procedures are smooth.
🛏️ I stayed in a single room, which was small but compact and very practical. The bed was comfortable, and the room had a separate shower and toilet, with a three-part separate water circulation system, which was very convenient and clean to use. During my stay, I could use the free Wi-Fi in the room, and I found that the soundproofing of the room was quite good, and I could hardly hear the noise outside. If you have a lot of luggage, the twin room is big enough to open two large suitcases at the same time.
🍣 The hotel is also a paradise for foodies! Tanukikoji Shopping Street not only has various restaurants and snack bars, but also supermarkets and 24-hour Don Quijote department stores, so you can satisfy your cravings anytime, anywhere. A bakery I highly recommend is Kinotoya, where the cheese tarts and milk ice cream are a must-try. In addition, you can walk about 15 minutes to Odori Park, Nijo Market, and the TV Tower, which are very concentrated attractions.
🛍️ When I stayed at Sapporo Odori West Hotel, I also found some minor drawbacks. For example, the room is slightly small, which may not be suitable for guests who like spacious spaces; in addition, some staff have limited English proficiency, so you need to be more patient when communicating.
In short, Sapporo Odori West Hotel is really an ideal accommodation choice for shopping, food, and travel. Staying here made me feel warm and convenient, and I will definitely choose here again next time I come to Sapporo ❤️✨.
