The room feels spacious.
Chose the well-reviewed Hotel Maya for its large rooms and convenient location, just a five-minute walk from the Petronas Towers (which you can see from the hotel).
Stayed in the Deluxe Suite, and without a doubt, the room was very spacious. Even with a double bed, sofa, TV, desk, and coffee table, there was still plenty of room. The large floor-to-ceiling windows added to the sense of space, though the room felt a bit dated.
Like a magic trick, the coffee machine, drinks, and fridge were cleverly placed next to the TV cabinet. This practical home design is something I thought only Hong Kong designers would use.
The bathroom, which I care about the most, was also spacious, with both a shower and a bathtub. A long soak in the tub washed away all my fatigue.
The indoor swimming pool is great because you don't have to worry about the weather. More importantly, during my stay, I noticed that no one else was using it.
The gym had a slightly higher usage rate, but there was still no need to worry about waiting in line. There were plenty of machines for running, cycling, and weightlifting.
In the evening, the Sky Lounge offers a selection of cakes, cookies, coffee, and tea for guests to enjoy. You can sit outside and take in the beautiful view of the Petronas Towers, or if you prefer, stay indoors and comfortably enjoy the treats. Although the selection is not extensive, the quality of the cakes is above average.
