After landed at Tribhuvan International Airport, I accidentally met a new friend and we took a taxi to Patan. It's 1,200 NRP for the taxi and we get to Patan Durbar Square which is quite old, but incredible. I enjoy walking around on narrow road with so many cars and motorbike. #2023travelwish Patan Durbar Square is located in the city center of Lalitpur, Nepal, 5 Km. or around half an hour from Kathmandu (depends on the traffic). This is one of the World Heritage Site in Nepal where we have to visit. Entrance fee for Thailand is 250 RPs. (Entrance fee is vary and have to check at the entrance gate). There is a high restaurant on top of the building where is a great location to take photos and have a nice lunch. All ancient city here are mysterious and charming… Hope next year I can visit another mysterious city like Machu Picchu… : )

Lalitpur Patan is a town where I stayed because I mistakenly thought the address was Kathmandu 🤣 In Korea, the Patan area is a kind of cultural village? It seems to be a traditional village. There are a lot of ruins, cultural heritages, temples, etc. in Patan. In fact, when you walk, between houses, between shops, Some of them look like wells, or even small stone statues. Located in the hearth of the city's down town it is impossible to miss out this place. You can literally just walk from the hotel (if you are staying in the area). #favouriteitinerary This was a real highlight during my time in Patan. Upon walking through the gate leading to the courtyard, I was taken back into time with the sight of the gilded shrine in the middle of the courtyard. The shrine was well maintained with great detail. Even more ornate were the doorway and arches at the Temple. As I looked closer at the center arch/doorway, I saw something hanging from the arch and spatters of something against the nearby wall. I was informed that entrails from a water buffalo were hanging from the arch as part of a sacrifice. The spatters were blood from the same water buffalo. A part of the Taleju Mandir Temple complex was the Sundari Cok. This was a smaller courtyard, the centerpiece of which was a inground pool type area that was circled by ornate carvings with a very detailed gilded statue in the front center of the “pool.’ It was inspiring to see how well much of this temple, including Sundari Cok withstood the impact of the 2015 earthquake.

They have a variety of doughnuts like jam, chocolate crème, salted caramel crème, vanilla to name a few. They are made freshly everything and the fresh quality speaks for itself. This is a great spot to celebrate the weekend with friends.

It is great for fries lovers who enjoy creative and flavorful takes on the classic fries. We tried the bbq fries which were soft and tasty, the cheesy hotdog was the star. It was so delicious! The Korean bowl was also good. This is a good spot to celebrate the weekend.

#celebrateit Dhokaima Cafe serves good food and has pleasant ambiance athough it is a bit on the pricier side. The brownie with ice cream is a must try dessert that stands out with a unique flavor. The carbonara and tiramisu were also great and a must try here. It has me salivating now that I’m writing this too. Overall it’s a nice place to celebrate special occasions.
