Chapter Three of the Autumn Legend of Suzhou, Indigo Hotel on Yangcheng Peninsula, Suzhou
Yangcheng Lake, known for its hairy crabs, has overshadowed its natural attributes as a lake. Fortunately, under the call of green mountains and clear waters, almost all wetlands in China have been rejuvenated and transformed into suburban parks or holiday destinations. For IHG members, the one that has brought Yangcheng Lake back from the hairy crab to the holiday holy land is this Indigo Hotel on Yangcheng Peninsula.
The hotel is located in a unique location. Of course, you may not feel it on the road or in it, but looking at the mobile phone map, you know that the peninsula where the hotel is located is deep into Yangcheng Lake, almost in the heart of the lake. Here, the water is vast on three sides, and it is deep enough to be private, which is simply the best location for a holiday hotel.
The Indigo brand is naturally suitable for storytelling. This hotel is really spiritual as Indigo, and it cleverly integrates the past and present of Yangcheng Lake into the construction, decoration and various details of the hotel. So I will inadvertently find a little thought on a certain point. For example, various shapes of crabs, fishing nets and aquatic plants, etc.
The hotel generously upgraded me to an open suite, with a 270-degree unobstructed lake view as soon as I entered the door, and more colorful autumn colors to enjoy. The half-wall high partition divides the room into two parts, inside and outside. The oversized leather corner sofa in the outer living room can sleep another person. The big bed facing the lake view on the inside makes it possible to see the lake and mountains as soon as you open your eyes. The main color of the room is gray-green and orange-red, with warm orange lights, it is both chic and high-end, and it also implies the two colors of cooked and raw hairy crabs. The only dissatisfaction is the semi-transparent bathroom, which stands in the center of the room like a bag, and going to the toilet is equivalent to a full house window tour.
In addition, as a suburban resort hotel embraced by mountains and rivers, the outdoor public area is naturally the highlight, whether it is the sunken rockery courtyard, the leisure lawn next to the reception lobby, or the outdoor swimming pool on the terrace, all are worth lingering. Interestingly, these three areas are located at different heights, with layers of progress and repeated cycles, each with its own beauty, and green everywhere.
Finally, I want to thank the exclusive butler Jerry, who gave professional and meticulous service from the greeting in advance to the arrangement of the room, making me feel like a spring breeze.
