2025 Cala Gonone Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in June)

Cala Gonone is a small coastal town on the eastern coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, part of the Gulf of Golfo di Orosei, famous for its natural beauty and pristine beaches. Cala Gonone offers a range of outdoor activities, with its magnificent limestone cliffs, hidden beaches and pristine seas as its backdrop. The area is particularly famous for its many secret beaches, which are only accessible by boat tours and kayaks. The town is an ideal destination for nature lovers, adventurers and travelers looking to relax on a secluded beach. #TravelAbroad

Beach heaven! This year, we’ve gone for a beach front hotel (review later), which has it’s advantages & (lower exercise) disadvantages 😂. We have a side room view (see the pics) with the marina off to our left, the main road (it isn’t very busy in low season) and beach less than one hundred meters from the hotel. Lots is restaurants and gelaterias to sample from and we did within minutes of arriving here 🤩. #beachvacation

A beautiful sunrise! After a delayed arrival to Hotel Brancamaria in Cala Gonone, we are relaxing and enjoying our holiday 👍🏽. A larger than life swimming pool (where we got a welcome drink) friendly and helpful staff in every department and placed in a wonderful location, we are very pleased! We can catch a glimpse of the Gulf of Orosei, from our balcony, but the surrounding hills are just as beautiful, but hey why watch sea when you can go swim in it 😀. Truth be told, the pool was colder than the sea, so I guess the sea wins hands down and where I'll be spending my time. We have already visited Acquario di Cala Gonone and found Disizos for excellent sweet and savoury patisseries. Better get some steps in to work off those pastries 🏃🏽‍♂️😂
