I stayed at the Zen Mountain House at the Emeishan Hongzhu Hotel.
I originally planned to stay at the Hongzhu Hotel, but it felt too old and I didn't have much confidence in the public hot springs, so I stayed at the Zen Mountain House.
The private hot spring is great, it's real hot spring water, very moisturizing, and the temperature is just right. It has a great atmosphere both during the day and at night, it's very comfortable. The hot spring pool is well designed, with both sitting and lying areas, all made of natural stone, which feels very high quality.
The room is very large, the decoration is of good quality, and there is almost no sense of oldness. The dressing room has a partition, which can be pulled up to become a separate space. The mattress is very comfortable, there are six or seven kinds of pillows to choose from, including latex, buckwheat, chrysanthemum, etc., which is very good. The bathroom has a double basin, the shower room and the toilet are separated on the left and right, and there is no smart toilet. The bathroom facilities should all be replaced in recent years, the quality is acceptable, and it looks relatively new. The Hongzhu Hotel is a whole area, containing a lake, there is a circle of trails around the lake, and there are some small viewing pavilions, which are good for leisurely walks.
The public hot springs are average, too old. The bottom of the hot spring pool is all blue bricks, and it is not a full overflow filter. Although there are people arranged to clean it, it is still not clean. Some pools have a lot of floating leaves and dust, and some pools are not open. It's enough to soak in the private hot springs, there is no need to go to the public ones.
The room comes with 2 breakfasts and dinner buffets, the variety is okay, but the quality is average. Considering that it is included, I won't comment too much.
The hotel service is very good, the concierge is very enthusiastic, the front desk manager will add WeChat when checking in, and then send me daily activities and meal times, and I can ask any questions, which is very satisfactory.
Overall, the hotel quality is good, but the price of 2.3k/night is still a bit unworthy, maybe because it is a holiday. The actual experience is worth less than 1.5k, and friends who want to come to the mountains for a holiday and soak in the hot springs can wait for the off-season.
