Hong Kong Peak High West Viewing Point Address:
Lung Fu Shan, Hong Kong
🇭🇰 Mount High West Viewing Point
Mount High West Viewing Point is one of the highlights of hiking Mount High West on Hong Kong Island. Situated at approximately 494 meters above sea level, this viewing point offers breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour, Kowloon, and the outlying islands. Despite the steep steps involved in the ascent, the effort is well-rewarded with stunning vistas that stretch across the city and beyond. This viewpoint is especially captivating on clear days, but even on cloudy or gloomy days, the dramatic landscapes remain impressive. It is a must-visit spot for hikers and nature enthusiasts looking to experience Hong Kong's natural beauty from a unique vantage point.

Mt. High West Viewing Point
#victoriapeak Great walk from the peak galleriea station. You can park the car at the Galleria then it’s only a short walk to the walking track that leads you to the entrance of the stair climb to the viewing point. The stairs are a bit of an effort but definitely doable for able adults and kids alike. There is no food or drink up at the top but great views of both sides of Hong Kong. Really nice to get the fresh morning air up there. Brining your own water is a must is summer season and light clothing with jacket during the winter is recommend. On the trail up it’s mainly steps, could be a tad slippery in a wet day so recommended to wear good shoes or sneakers with a bit of grip. The path is well covered with trees till you get to the top. Once you are done there is always a rest stop back at the Galleria for lunch and drinks nearby. Plenty of coffee places also .

Visit Victoria Peak in Hongkong.
Getting There - using tram
Attractions - scenery was amazing on the rooftop of the building, however, on every floor we also can enjoy this scenery for free.
Food & Restaurants - there were a lot of restaurants available inside the building providing a variety of food.
Shopping - the accessories shop was available selling the magnets for the refrigerator, key chain, and other antique stuff. #cheap #stunning #nature

🇭🇰 Spectacular Views of Hong Kong from Mount High West
Mount High West on Hong Kong Island offers one of the most rewarding hikes I've experienced. The trail to the peak is part of the Harlech Road and Lugard Road Circular Walk at The Peak. I began the circular trail from Harlech Road, which is closer to the entrance of High West. From there, it was a quick 30-minute climb to the summit, which is about 494 meters above sea level. The 650-meter ascent involves steep steps but provides stunning views along the way. Despite the gloomy weather on the day of my visit, I was fortunate to catch a brief glimpse of the sun at the summit's viewing point. The views of Hong Kong Island, Victoria Harbour, Kowloon, and the outlying islands were spectacular!

Victoria Peak Visit by Bus
My 3rd visit to Victoria Peak was quite different this time – I decided to take bus 15 for the journey. After experiencing crowded trams on previous visits, my family and I opted for this alternative route. The bus departed from Exchange Square, just across from Central MTR, and took us to the terminus inside Peak Galleria. The bus fare was a reasonable HK$11.50 for about 40-minute journey.
For the best views, be sure to sit on the upper deck of the bus at any side of the windows. Surprisingly, the journey was smooth, and the road wasn't as winding as we had imagined. As the bus ascended, we were treated to breathtaking landscapes that we might have missed if we had taken the tram.
What's even better is that we didn't have to pay any entrance fees but still enjoyed stunning views at the peak. Our timing, between 5.30 pm and 6.45 pm, allowed us to witness the transition from dusk to night, complete with the refreshing breeze.
Looking ahead, my wish for the next trip is to hike up to the peak, possibly starting from the old peak road or commencing the journey from Central MTR, while I'm still capable of hiking.
This is a Must-Visit in your itinerary when you are in Hong Kong.
Side note: I touched down at noon. Had lunch and checked into my hotel near Mongkok MTR around 3 pm. Then headed out to Victoria Peak.
