American Honeymoon: Hollywood's Shining Pearl
At the thirteenth stop of our romantic honeymoon in the United States, we came to Los Angeles, a city full of charm and legend. We visited Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles Chinese Theater, Dolby Theater, and viewed the eye-catching Los Angeles Mountains from afar.
We first strolled along Hollywood Boulevard, the heart of the global film industry. Every step seemed to be walking in the long scroll of film history. The floor tiles on the avenue are inlaid with the names and handprints of many celebrities, making people feel the endless brilliance of the stars. The wonderful performances of street artists and various movie-themed shops make this place full of a strong artistic atmosphere and lively vitality.
Then we went to the Los Angeles Chinese Theater. This unique building exudes a strong oriental charm, and the cement floor of its front yard is covered with handprints, footprints and signatures of many Hollywood stars. And here, we specially found Jackie Chan’s handprints. You know, Jackie Chan is the second Chinese film and television star after the famous director John Woo to have the honor of leaving his handprints in the square in front of the National Grand Theater! In 2013, Jackie Chan held a handprint ceremony here. He wrote "I love peace" on a piece of cement floor in advance and signed his Chinese and English names. He also ingeniously lay on the cement board to leave the iconic "Jackie Chan nose" print, and then printed his own handprints and footprints. Looking at these marks, we can't help but recall his brilliant achievements in the film industry. He made a name for himself in Hollywood with his unique action-comedy style. The films he starred in, such as the "Rush Hour" series, were very popular, allowing the world to better understand Chinese Kung Fu and Chinese culture.
Next, we walked into the famous Dolby Theatre. The Dolby Theatre was originally known as the Kodak Theatre and was renamed to its current name in May 2012. It is located on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California, United States, and was opened on November 9, 2001.
The Dolby Theatre covers an area of more than 16,000 square meters, with a ceiling 26 meters above the ground and contains 215 individually powered speaker speakers, making it one of the most complex sound systems in the world. The 3,400-seat venue has been the permanent home of the Academy Awards since 2002 and will continue to host the ceremony until 2033. It is not only a cinema, but also a holy place of film culture, witnessing the dreams and glory of countless filmmakers.
The Dolby Theatre has a unique exterior design with streamlined glass curtain walls and LED lighting effects, making it shine brightly on Hollywood Boulevard at night. Once inside the theatre, the audience will be struck by its grand lobby, with soaring ceilings and carefully selected decorative materials, creating a luxurious yet modern atmosphere.
As Dolby Laboratories' flagship theater, it uses the most advanced Dolby Atmos sound system, which can create extremely three-dimensional surround sound effects, making the audience feel as if they are in the movie scene. Whether it's the shock of an airplane roaring past or the delicacy of drizzle brushing against the window lattice, both can be accurately reproduced through this audio system.
This is not only the venue for the Oscars, but also has hosted major events such as the American Idol finals and the Victoria's Secret fashion show. The finals of "American Idol" kicked off here, and many contestants with musical dreams showed off their singing skills and pursued their dreams of becoming stars; and the glamorous "Victoria's Secret" lingerie show also presented a magnificent visual feast on this stage.
Finally, we viewed the Los Angeles Mountains from a distance. The eye-catching word "Hollywood" on the mountain is particularly dazzling under the sunlight. These big words are not only the symbol of Hollywood, but also symbolize the booming development and endless charm of the film industry. Looking from a distance, the magnificent scenery of the Los Angeles Mountains and the prosperity of the city complement each other, forming a beautiful picture.
During this day in Los Angeles, we seemed to travel through time and space, and experienced the glorious history and dazzling stars of Hollywood firsthand. The bustle of Hollywood Boulevard, the uniqueness of the Chinese Theater, the solemnity of the Dolby Theater and the magnificence of the Los Angeles mountains will all become the most precious and unforgettable memories of our honeymoon. They witnessed our love and also gave us a deeper understanding and love for the art of film.
