Holiday inn express Johor Bahru is one of the four star hotel in Malaysia . Check in was fast . The room we got was located at a high floor facing the sea view . Room was clean ,spacious and equipped with modern looking furnitures. Amenities inside the room was more than enough with comfortable king sized bed and sofa bed. The infinity pool at the top floor were so windy and has paranomic view of the city. One of the most beautiful hotel swimming pool in Johor . The fitness centre was so huge that has plenty of exercise equipments to use and even have space to do yoga .The view was also good that overlooking the JB city centre. Breakfast was excellent with free flow of buffet breakfast . Location is very convenient as it is located directly above both malls , opposite CIQ , bus terminal and night market . Price per Person - RM300 for deluxe room with suite Rating - 4.5/5 Choices of room ranges from queen bed till suites which suits solo/couple travellers to families equipped with kettle and microwave! Complimentary breakfast and 24 hours gym too. only downside is the lack of a swimming pool and the somewhat creaky aircon which made me deduct the 5 stars review.

Short trip with family. The room is clean and cozy. Food is so-so.. needs more to improve on the tastes. The area is not as convenient as I need to take up and down. Even if a shuttle bus is provided there is a time for that. There is nothing much entertainment around the area. for me this hotel is good for those taking short trip vacation.

We had one night staycation at these hotel for my mother birthday. The room condition is good. I love their shower gel n shampoo, very nice smell n feels good. The beds also nice n very comfortable for both of us. Got many tv channels n strong wifi connection. Before check-out, we had try their meals set at the restaurant. The taste of food is delicious with the good portion. Really worth it for what i need to pay.

Hipster neighborhoods trawling in Johor Bahru…away from the crowds..even though it rained it was still enjoyable. Air was cool and I was able to walk from place to place with little difficulty. I checked out the cages at jalan tungku ? I think that’s the name but this Japanese inspired cafe was cool and quiet they had nice lemon cake and tea but i wouldn’t expect much. had a great time in Malaysia holiday inn express suites hotel, travelled to three different malls and went to KSL pasar malam and bought many good food. the grab was cheap too, able to take many grab rides and order many grab foods. bought many things back to SG as well. the hotel was clean and the water heater is v strong and we are able to have a hot bath every morning. The staff is kind and helpful and friendly.

Last minute getaway. Holiday Inn Express is quite new. Location is about 8 minutes walk from CIQ. While walking back and we found a shop selling Ayam kee chup which was super yummy. However dont advise to walk at night. Grab is accessible.
