I recommend walking to Diamond Plaza, which is currently holding a Christmas event in front of the mall. If you are a photography lover, don't forget to stop by here. Another relaxing place in Ho Chi Minh City is Book Street. The atmosphere is shady and pleasant. It's not just Vietnamese books available here; there's quite a variety. Plus, there are plenty of postcards to choose from and send as souvenirs. The post office is right next to the alley. Or you can just relax, pick up a book, and read. It's a great place to unwind.

French, Chinese and Vietnamese local cultures are intertwined here, giving Saigon its own unique romance. Just like the book street, one side is the solemn red church, and the other side is the bustling Book Street. Two completely different pictures, but I can see them in one scene. This should be the charm of Vietnam. ✅About Book Street: ⭕️During the French colonial period, this road was called Hong Kong Street. In 1897, it was renamed Cadiz, and in 1955, it was renamed Nguyen Khau Street. Until 2000, it was renamed Nguyen Van Binh Book Street, named after Nguyen Van Binh, a famous intellectual in Vietnamese history; ⭕️Book Street is opposite the Red Church, and the whole street is not very long. The book street is basically a pedestrian only street that sells books. Passerbys are shaded under the trees that line the street and are greeted by the calm of the area. You can then enjoy this tranquility in the many cafes of the area; you can sip coffee while enjoying a nice book. The street is also very centrally located so you won't be far from other sites of the city. In fact you might miss it and overlook it if you quickly walk through. Amazing place! This is the first time I've found a really cool location like this. The vibe feels very different and calm even though many people are passing by. There is a special bookstore area here and there are many unique shops here providing a variety of books, although each shop is not very large, it has its own characteristics and uniqueness. There are cafes where you can read books while also providing free books to read. Apart from the cafe, there is also a free area in the middle, so you can sit down, just rest or read a book.

Luckily, we came during the book fair, held from 29/12/2022-02/01/2023. The day we went was during the New Year holiday, 31/12/2022. There were a lot of people, but they organized a cute event, in a chic English style. There were many activities in the event. It was a short walk, close to the post office and a ride around the city. Coming to this point, there are many things to do, such as walking and sightseeing. It is suitable as another good tourist spot.

Nice hidden oasis near the post office to get away from maddening crowd. But it’s a short street, so not worth making a special trip unless you are in the area. Worth a stroll. Very cute. As the name suggests, books but there are a few other shops too. You can also grab a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. Most books are in Vietnamese. My relatives first time visit to Ho Chi Minh city. Brought them to Mekong River Tours which included Honey bee place, coconut candy factory & boat ride through Mekong River. They had fabulous times & enjoyed every second of it. The next day I brought them to HCM city tour which included visit to War Museum, HCM Post Office & walk about HCM Book Street. They just love the historical part of Vietnam War. Took lots of pictures. Last but not least the shopping sprees in Ben Thanh Market which mostly cheap where they bought Muslim attires & goodies for their loved ones at home. They had to stop coz’ they don’t want to pay extra luggage fees! They loved HCM so much & decided to visit again🤭

It is not always open, so you may only be able to see the exterior. Head to the Saigon River, a total of 1.5 km, which is perfect for a city walk. However, there are too many motorcycles in Ho Chi Minh City, so be careful when walking. It is also very noisy. After about 20 minutes, you will arrive at the "Saigon Central Post Office" and the "Notre Dame Cathedral". Short distances only cost 6-7 RMB each time. Feel free to take a taxi! 2⃣️ The coffee apartment looks good from the outside, and it's nice to take photos downstairs. But you don't have to go upstairs. The coffee shop upstairs has a good view, but that's about it. 3⃣️ Central Post Office + Book Street + Church. This area is really nice. The tourists on the bus were like a miniature version of the world, from all over the place. It was a nice surprise. People who like boats will love it. Big boat - medium boat - small boat, slowly paddling through the coconut groves of the Mekong River. It's hot, but the experience is very authentic. There are also other leisure activities, like a Mekong River farm! But some people don't like the water of the Mekong River. In short, this day tour is very subjective, and different people have different experiences. I personally recommend it! 8⃣️ Shanghai - Xiamen (transfer) - Ho Chi Minh City. This route flies over the Paracel Islands! You can see the Paracel Islands very clearly! Don't sleep! 9⃣️ Be sure to bring stomach medicine! Of the friends I traveled with, 3 vomited and 2 had stomach problems. Drinking too much ice water and drinks every day, combined with the hot weather, can easily cause gastroenteritis, bloating, and other problems. 1⃣️0⃣️ Vietnam visa on a separate sheet of paper, all in one step.
