Must-visit spot in Kyoto, Japan: Yasaka Tower at Hokanji Temple
When in Kyoto, you must visit Yasaka Tower, along with nearby Ninen-zaka, which are among the most popular attractions!
📍Hokanji Temple - Yasaka Tower
You can easily reach it by searching on the map, it's very conspicuous.
Entrance ticket to the tower🎫400
History of Yasaka Tower:
🔍It's the oldest existing five-story pagoda in Japan. The top of the tower is shaped like an iron pillar, resembling a lightning rod; the front of the roof is decorated with onigawara (a component of ancient Japanese architecture with a history of 1400 years, the ferocious face can 'drive away evil spirits'); the tower has 5 layers, symbolizing from the ground layer to the sky layer, as well as the cycle of life and the order of the universe.
Master the best time to shoot at Hokanji Temple Yasaka Tower:
📌Ninen-zaka, Sannen-zaka && Yasaka Tower: Before 8 am, after 8 pm.
Since the area around Yasaka Tower is all sloping roads, if you want to avoid capturing crowds, you can find the right angle. Because it's uphill all the way, it's recommended to go around to the back of Yasaka Tower to take pictures, as shown in the first picture, this will reduce the number of people in the frame.

Yasaka-no-to, the best photo spot in Kyoto
Yasaka-no-to Pagoda (八坂の塔), also known as Hokanji Temple (法観寺) is the oldest pagoda in Kyoto and it’s said to be the symbol of Kyoto. Because the surrounding buildings are very low, the temple looks very prominent. You can enter the temple with an entrance ticket of 400¥. Although I've been there many times, I've never seen inside of the temple 😅
Because it is a very favorite place, it is always crowded with tourists. If you want to enjoy Yasaka Street quietly, come early in the morning or late at night.
Besides, wearing a kimono walking on Yasaka street is also an interesting experience. And when come to Yasaka-no-to, don’t forget to visit Gion and Kyomizu-dera which are closed to it.

A must see place in Kyoto
#mytripvlog
This place is a historical district and it is possible to see Geishas here. I was lucky during this Kyoto trip and in this location I had seen a Geisha. However, on some roads, it is prohibited to take a photo. And Geishas should not been bothered.
Also, as soon as you find the road to Hokanji Shrine empty, there are no doubts that magnificent photos can be taken.

This was one of the main areas that I wanted to visit on my trip and I must say it lived up to the hype. The tower was ancient but well maintained and stunning. The surrounding area was spectacular with its many alleys and old style buildings. It got busier as the day progressed; so I recommended going early if you want great photos.,overall IT awesome place To visit

Tower of Yasaka
Yasaka Pagoda (aka Hokan-ji Temple) is one of the iconic structures in Kyoto. It is a five-story buddhist temple dating back to the 6th or 7th century. We visited in the evening when there are fewer tourists around, but still found lots of people at the best photo spots taking pictures with the pagoda. It is still worth wandering around the alleys nearby - there are small izakayas, sake bars, and coffee shops around to explore while getting different perspectives of this beautiful historical landmark.

Hokanji Temple the landmark of Kyoto
Hokanji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda), along with Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, is one of the iconic landmarks located within Higashiyama district that is renowned for its well-preserved historical charming streetscape.
It’s a very scenic pedestrian-only street where lots of tourists flock to for a photo opportunity.
Tourists aside, it’s a very atmospheric street where you would enjoy strolling along the olden streets and enjoying its old world charm.
The streets are lined with tonnes of interesting eateries, souvenir and gift shops that would keep you occupied for hours.
We enjoyed it so much that we visited the destination a few times during our trip. Definitely one of our favourite places to visit in Kyoto.

Very visible from Sannenzaka shopping district, this is Houkanji Temple, or sometimes known as Tower of Yasaka (Yasaka no Tou.) This is my favorite Pagoda in Japan, towering over the ancient neighborhood of old Kyoto. This is also a great location because after visiting the Buddhist Temple, you may go directly to Sannenzaka to go shopping or food hunting, because the shopping district is located right outside of the temple. This temple is open daily from 10am to 4pm.

Gossip is said to be named after the Eight Diagrams Tower in Faguan Temple. It is close to Qingshui, and there are relatively few tourists. The stone plate path, the Machiya wooden house and the dark five-storied pagoda have passed through the medieval times of Japan. Even in the ancient Kyoto where the monuments are, it is a unique combination. Many film and television dramas have been used here, so they are quite popular among photographers and Japanese TV dramas. Fascinated by fans. In the evening, there will be many tourists with long guns and short guns waiting to shoot the Eight Diagrams Tower in the sunset.
The "Dongshan Lantern Road" activity in mid-March will also pass through the Eight Diagrams Pass, from Qinglianyuan Road to the south for five kilometers to the Kiyomizu-dera Temple. More than 2,500 square small lamps are displayed along the way to show the dreamlike The style of Kyoto streets.
紅塵客.
Kyoto has a very mirrored five-storied pagoda called Faguan Temple, collectively known as the "Bagua Tower". Standing in the Eight Diagrams and three years, you can see the typical example of this Japanese imitation of the Tang Dynasty architecture. In contrast, the Qingshui Temple is ordinary. A lot, we didn't go in. Take a photo and use it as a background. It is a very good choice. Let's try it.
Desperado.
It is said that Kyoto is a gathering place for Michelin restaurants. A variety of Kyoto cuisine, Kaiseki cuisine, sushi, and tempura are available from Michelin Star to Samsung. So if you dont arrange an authentic Michelin dish in Kyoto, its a great pity. The first dinner of the Kyoto tour was arranged under the Hachimantai Tower in Kyoto, a 12-seat Xiu Jingjing restaurant.
Jing cuisine is the traditional cuisine of Kyoto as its name suggests. Compared with other dishes, Beijing cuisine pays more attention to the concept of the season, and what is the place to eat what ingredients, is very elegant. At the same time, each dish is combined with local customs and customs on both the plate and the utensils. It can be said to be a double feast of sight and taste.
Shu Bo, as a fairly authentic Beijing cuisine, is also true. I haven't served yet, and the wine utensils that have come up have already let me and my friends discuss it for a long time. There are 3 hip flasks and 8-9 cups. None of them are repetitive. There are so many styles and cute looks that people are happy when they drink.
This authentic Beijing cuisine has a total of 8 dishes, starting with a platter of wild vegetables and ending with a wide variety of desserts. Each dish is as beautiful as a piece of art, and it is ridiculous and unwilling to shut down. It can be seen that the restaurant chef is full of respect and care for each ingredient.
