First, head to Hirosaki Station. From Aomori Airport: ✈️ Konan Bus, Aomori Airport → Hirosaki Station, 1,200 yen, approx. 55 minutes. Transportation IC cards can be used. *Only the airport line. From Shin-Aomori Station: 🚄 JR Ou Main Line, Shin-Aomori Station → Hirosaki Station, 590 yen, approx. 40 minutes. From Hirosaki Station to Hirosaki Park, you can take a local bus. 🚌 The nearest bus stop to Hirosaki Park is "City Hall Park Entrance" or "Cultural Center". From Hirosaki Park, Ote-monguchi: Bus stop 6 → Get off at the City Hall Park Entrance for about 15 minutes. If you are going to Hirosaki Park East Gate, get off at Bus Stop 7 → Cultural Center Mae for about 10 minutes. *My personal recommendation is to go around from the Ote-mon Gate. 🚶The above is by bus, but Hirosaki has a bus called the 100 yen bus that you can ride for 100 yen. 🚌In that case, take the Dotemachi Circulator Bus, and get off at the City Hall Park Entrance. If you are going to see the lights up and go home late, there may already be no buses from the area around Hirosaki Park! In that case, it is about a 30-minute walk to the station, but it is a gentle downhill slope. It is one of Japan's three most famous cherry blossom viewing spots, with around 2,600 cherry trees of 52 varieties, including weeping and double-flowered cherry trees, blooming in the vast park. The lifespan of Somei-Yoshino cherry trees is said to be 60 to 80 years, but there are over 400 trees here that are over 100 years old. Apparently, they are cared for using apple pruning techniques. Perhaps because of this, I thought the sense of volume of the cherry blossoms was the greatest I'd ever seen. My favorite thing about Hirosaki Park is the flower rafts in the castle moat, which can be seen 3 to 4 days after full bloom! Rather than a river, they look like a carpet of cherry petals. The ducks swimming leisurely on them are incredibly graceful. Another highlight is the Nakabori sightseeing boat, which operates during the cherry blossom season and allows visitors to enjoy cherry blossom viewing from the moat. I thought the combination of the red bridge leading to the main castle, the falling cherry petals, and the reflection was beautiful (fourth photo). Furthermore, walking through the large park, you can see the heart-shaped cherry blossoms, Hirosaki Castle Tower, the long cherry blossom tunnel, Mt. Iwaki seen through the cherry blossoms, and so much more that you can't see everything in one day. However,when I visited,some buildings were under construction.. Overall,I was satisfied with the experience of seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms.. Very beautiful and recommended people a must see park when the cherry blossoms are in bloom during April like me. The trees are full and magnificent. Love it!!!!!
