"Himakajima" in Aichi Prefecture Aichi Prefecture is a remote island located in the south. This time, we visited Himakajima, which is famous for its octopus! We boarded the boat from Kawa Port and arrived in about 20 minutes⛴️ It was a comfortable boat trip with little rocking, and I was surprised at the efficiency and agileness of the boat staff. It was a scorching hot day with a maximum temperature of 38°. We took a ferry to Himakajima Nishi Port and had a set meal at Minshuku Matsuzuru. Octopus is famous here, so we were very satisfied with the octopus-filled dishes. After that, we walked around the island slowly. There were octopus drying on the eaves of the houses, and there was a Benzaiten statue. I felt like an islander for a while, and I let myself go with the flow of time and stared at the sea, which was very relaxing.
