#weekendgetaways Gunung Lambak or Mount Lambak is located in Gunung Lambak Recreational Forest, 86000 Kluang, Johor. The summit is 500m above sea level. Gunung Lambak has nice terrain, offers both challenging and easy trails(beginner-friendly). Recently I hiked with my fellows in company, it was so much fun & adventure. There are several trails to the top, we spent around 2 hours to reach the top through the easier trail. Hill path is safe and clear, ropes can be found at steep zone. The summit offers panoramic view of Kluang town, stunning landscape and refreshing air, truly a back to nature recreational. Getting there: Just 5 km from Kluang town area and 12 mins driving distance. Open everyday and Free admission.

Water park in Gunung Lambak is a good place for weekend get away with family too. Being around Gunung Lambak area, most of the time external temperature 23-28 celcius. Now finally sunny since April, which is good for hiking. I hope i can go for hiking on the day when i'm not oncall. Ah Fu Satay is unique because it is a food court serving not only satay, but also “zi char” such as Dai Lok Mee (fried thick noodles), fried “Xing Zhou Mi Fen” (Singapore style bee hoon), fried chicken wings, hotplate oyster omelette, and many more. There are at least two BBQ pits at Ah Fu to supply the high demand in Kluang. They even have pork satay, intestine satay, otak-otak, ketupat, not just the common chicken and mutton satay. Among all, pork satay is rated the best. It is always packed with customers, please expect a queue and limited parking. Well worth the wait though. Gunung Lambak is a mountain located in the state of Kluang, Johor. It offers a view of Kluang Town at the summit. Actually Lambak (which means Flea Mountain) has twin peaks (the lower peak stands at 470 meters whereas the highest peak is at 510 meters). It was an 'easy climb' and required moderate exercise. The first part of the trail before you hit the jungle treks is fairly easy as it is paved with concrete roads and is not very steep. The second part of the trail is the start of the jungle trek, and it consists of a clear pathway of steps and railings to guide you upwards until you reach the mid-section. The last part of the hike from the mid-section will definitely challenge your fitness level as the path is steep with soil and tree roots as your stepping ground. The whole process of ascending and descending the climb to the summit would take approximately 4-5 hours. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. No admission fee nor permit is required to climb Gunung Lambak. After hiking, you can buy fresh fruits and fruit juice from the fruit stalls at the recreational park. I particularly like this stall, the lady was super friendly and welcoming. The fruits she offered were fresh and sweet at very affordable prices. #mustvisit #kluang

Talula kluang farm resort is one of the newly opened farm stay in Kluang Johor. This resort consists of a farm resort , animal farm, vegetables farm and a cafe overlooking the mountains. Visited this farm during our half day road trip to kluang , which was about two hours ride from CIQ. The environment was very peaceful as it was away from busy areas. We had our meal at the cafe with a paranomic view of nature . This is the place that you can really exposed directly to nature . Air very fresh. After our meals, we headed to the gardening farm to explore the vegetables. Wanted to stay at the resort but due to time constraints , we did not have the chance to stay at the resort .. Might stay at this resort the next time we visit. Location is 10 mins drive from kluang bus terminal. We had a great experience and enjoy our entire trip here. Thinking of an adventurous weekend but somewhere not too far? Why not head down to kluang which is just 90mins away from the woodlands checkpoint where there is a mountain called Mount Lambak or called Gunung Lambak. Mount Lambak has a summit of 5100m above sea level and is popular especially among locals and has now become a recreational park and good for climbers who want to scale higher mountains in future. This can be done in one day where it take you approx 4 hours one way with the hardest part at almost the top of the summit due to uneven grounds but could be conquered easily when taking it slow. Heading for a food hunt in johor? You have to head to the ever famous Hai Kee Roasted Meat at Jln Haji Manap Nordin, Kluang Baru, 86000 Kluang. This stall only used to open at night till the wee mornings, but now its open at 12noon serving really crispy roasted pork and tender saucy char siew. Hai Kee is very popular among the locals there as Hai Kee is a butchery and owns their very own pig farm, where they will transport the freshly cut pork which is still warm, and roast it straight into the oven. We were told that these meat have never been refrigerated and always prepared fresh on a daily basis. Parking is relatively easy here as you can park along the streets. Getting there: From the North South Expressway, take the Air Hitam exit and take Highway 50 to Kluang town. Once near Kluang you will see signposts for Gunung Lambak Recreational Forest. I have parked on the street near the Eco Resort and started the trail from there. Highlights: Gunung Lambak is a small mountain located in Kluang District , Johor , Malaysia with a height of 510 meters (1,673 feet) above sea level. The trail starts at the Gunung Lambak Eco Resort. The trail is nice and easy at the beginning with a concrete path which makes its way alongside the stream and up through the rainforest.
