A day trip to Hikone
#Hikone
Hikone Castle is a national treasure. There are only five national treasure castles in Japan, so it is one of the precious castles. You can enjoy the view of Hikone City and the surrounding towns from the castle tower. (However, there is a fence.)
In addition, Ii Naosuke, who was born here in Hikone, was the protagonist of the first taiga drama, and there is a stone monument in his honor. (Outside the castle)
Also, Hikone City's mascot, Hikonyan. It was on display at a stone statue shop in the city.
Also, Omi Chanpon, a specialty of Shiga Prefecture. Omi Chanpon itself is said to have originated in Moriyama City, but it is very delicious and contains a lot of vegetables, so it is a healthy dish.
Also, although I did not visit this time, the annual Birdman Contest is also held in Hikone City, and I think there are still many wonderful places to see in Hikone.
By the way, the time spent on the ground on this trip was about 3 hours.
