Heirinji Temple is one of the famous temples in the Kanto region, and was relocated from its current location in Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama City, in 1663 by Terutsuna, son of Matsudaira Izunokami Nobutsuna, lord of Kawagoe Castle. It has been about 360 years since then. Heirinji Temple is surrounded by lush greenery and is located in a forest within the temple grounds that is a nationally designated natural monument and covers an area of ​​about 43 hectares.
