A Spring Spectacle Amidst Yellow Waves
The Nakdong River Canola Flower Complex, located in Namji-eup, Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, is renowned as the largest canola flower field in South Korea, spanning approximately 110 hectares (about 330,000 pyeong). Every spring, the 'Changnyeong Nakdong River Canola Flower Festival' is held here, attracting numerous visitors who come to marvel at the breathtaking yellow canola blossoms.
The 20th edition of the festival in 2025 took place over three days, from Friday, April 18th to Sunday, April 20th. During the festival, various programs such as art contests, health walking competitions, and canola flower radientiering were organized, receiving great enthusiasm from family visitors.
Visitors could also enjoy the canola flower train and bicycle rental services, making it convenient to explore the vast complex. The canola flower train, in particular, was a favorite among seniors and children.
Around the festival venue, facilities like Namji Sports Park and Namji Youth Culture Center are available to enhance visitor convenience. Additionally, the canola flower fields, harmonized with the scenic beauty of the Nakdong River, are considered prime spots for photography, offering an ideal place to relish the beauty of spring.
