#glamping Haikyu Ren was one of the biggest surprises in Kuala Lumpur this time. I wanted to leave after finishing my meal in Bukit Bintang, but I suddenly thought of this nearby restaurant which has been selected as a Michelin recommended restaurant for two consecutive years since 23 years. It was the third day of the Chinese New Year. The restaurant reopened after a few days of rest. It was really popular. I waited from 7pm to almost 9pm before I was seated (usually within an hour). Although many people on the Internet have criticized it for being an Internet celebrity restaurant, I personally highly recommend it. Next time I have the chance to visit Kuala Lumpur, I will definitely go there again. It will be easier to order food when there are more people! The ordering method is a bit difficult. First, choose the type of fish/seafood you want, and then choose whether you want staple food such as porridge, noodles, rice noodles, etc. Of course, there are also many à la carte dishes, but they are basically sold out by 8 o'clock in the evening. Plus, the portion size is generous overall, making it a very satisfying meal. The shrimp paste fried fish slices are not only exceptionally plump and tender in texture, but the shrimp paste seasoning is also fragrant, and the outer coating is fried to a perfect crisp. The fried soft-shell crab is also top-notch in quality. Though small in size, it’s meaty and succulent, offering both the unique flavor of the soft-shell crab legs and the tender, moist texture of the body, without even a hint of fishiness. On top of that, the base flavor from the turmeric marinade adds an interesting twist. Overall, the seasoning and freshness of all the seafood are above standard.

This well known restaurant, which is always packed with hungry diners, is made popular because of their delicious seafood/fish soup noodles. We drank the fragrant shrimp soup while eating the lobster meat in it. It was refreshing, sweet, and had a unique aroma. It was simply a delicacy. The dessert after the meal was also unforgettable. Their mango coconut milk sago dew uses a sweet soup made from fresh mangoes and coconut milk. It is refreshing, not greasy, and naturally fragrant. It is definitely the perfect ending to this trip. Haijiao people’s dishes not only use carefully selected ingredients, but also pay more attention to the traditional authentic stewing time, reflecting their unique attention to seafood everywhere.
