Hidden Gems in Huzhou: Discover the Ancient Plum Blossoms at a Millennia-Old Taoist Temple
Nanxun Ancient Town is perfect for a leisurely stroll. Not only is the town free to explore, but it also hides some free treasure attractions, such as this thousand-year-old Taoist temple. If you don't go near it, you won't be able to appreciate the fully blooming red plum blossoms.

Guanghuigong Palace was first built during the Zhiping period of the Northern Song Dynasty. The main hall enshrines the statues of the "Three Purities," the highest deities in Taoism. It was originally called Guanghuigong Palace. Later, because Zhang Shicheng of the late Yuan Dynasty built a granary here and occupied Guanghuigong Palace as his temporary palace, it was commonly known as Zhangwang Temple. The palace enshrines both Wong Tai Sin and Guanyin.

The land of fish and rice, the home of silk
Nanxun Ancient Town is the birthplace of lake silk, renowned both domestically and internationally. The business guild halls here provide a detailed introduction to the entire process of silk production, from sericulture to the finished product. The town has a strong tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education, advocating for good family values and supporting educational endeavors even when wealthy. Huzhou brushes are also very famous, and at the entrance of one shop, there are two huge writing brushes, which are probably the largest in China.
There is a river running through the ancient town, with black-awning boats constantly passing by. The banks are paved with bluestone slabs, and the streets are lined with shops, large mansions of famous and wealthy families, and there is also a Taoist temple called Guanghui Palace, with its yellow walls and gray tiles, majestic in appearance. The ancient town is free to enter.

The combination of Buddhism and Taoism serves both Wong Tai Sin and Guan Yin Bodhisattva. There is a boat dock at the entrance of
