[2025 La Digue Attraction] Travel Guide for Grand Anse (Updated Feb)

The gentle ride along the scenic paths sets the tone for an exciting day ahead. Make sure to pack some water and snacks, as you will be working up an appetite! After biking to Grand Anse, we embarked on a scenic hike to Anse Coco Beach. The trail offers breathtaking views of the coast and lush vegetation. It’s about a 30-minutes walk, but the stunning scenary makes every step worth it. Wear comfortable shoes and don’t forget your camara! #adventure #explore #hiking 🥥 Upon reaching Anse Coci, we diacovered a charming chiringuito serving fresh fruits and smoothies. It was the perfect refreshment after our hike. Try the coconut water - it’s incredibly refreshing after a day in the sun! #tropical 🏝️ Anse Coco Beach is a slice of heaven. With its powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Swim, sunbathe or just enjoy the scenery. Keep an eye out for the beautiful rock formations that add to the beach’s charm! #beachlife #crystalclearwaters 🌅 After a day of adventure, we biked back, stopping at another beach to catch the sunset. The sky turned into a canvas of vibrant colours, making for a magical ending to our day. Don’t forget to bring a blanket to sit on the sand while you soak in the view! #sunset A day exploring La Digue is a day well spent. Whether you are hiking, biking or simply lounging on the beach, the island’s beauty is sure to leave you in awe. 🌴💦 Tips for Travelers: - Bike rentals: Book your bike in advance to ensure availability. - Hiking Gear: Wear sturdy shoes and bring plenty of water for the hike. - Sun protection: Don’t forget sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. - Local delicacies: Try fresh seafood and local fruits at various eateries.

#thingstodo Phenomenal beach to visit on La Digue. The bike ride there takes a bit of effort, as it involves a gentle climb but totally worth it. Worst case scenario, push the bike or even walk there. Met some lovely tourists walking there so totally doable. On the way you should call by Mini’s cafe and grab some refreshments or lunch even. Beautiful beach with white sandy beaches once you get to Grand Anse. However, must note that there’s not a lot of shade. The sea can also be a bit rough there so please swim cautiously. Short-ish hike through the woods out to a gorgeous, secluded beach. This was our favorite beach in all of the Seychelles and would very much recommend. If you ride your bike down to Grand Anse on La Digue, you will pass by a trail sign for Anse Songe. You can ride your bike a little ways into the trail, then drop them by the side and continue on foot. It goes up and to the right, then onto rocks and out onto the coast. You can spot Grand Anse, then continue to the right along the coast and it opens to this gorgeous spot. The views are amazing and you'll have it all to yourself. You can also hike over to Anse Coco or Petite Anse from there and those are as phenomenal, if not even nicer. Please please please stick to the well maintained trail as it can be so easy to get lost otherwise. They have yellow markings alongside the trail for you to follow and it appears at fairly regular intervals. It’s a very easy trail but don’t forget to bring water at least with you to rehydrate as Seychelles is quite warm/hot even.
