Granada is a city in Andalucia, Spain, known for its beautiful scenery and rich history. The Alhambra Palace here is a famous tourist attraction and the main reason for my visit. You can take photos outside, but I personally think you can skip entering. Transportation✈️ Flight: Take a flight from Barcelona to Granada, the flight time is about 1 hour. This time I chose Vueling Airlines of Spain, the price was HKD$981 (including 25kg luggage). This is Granada in southern Spain, the first city I traveled to alone! When I travel, I really enjoy just walking around without thinking about anything. I arrived early in the morning that day and bought some bread at a local bakery and walked around the streets diligently! Southern Spain is usually sunny and warm, but when I visited in December, the daily temperature difference was large, so it was quite cold in the morning! #celebrateit Prior to my visit to Granada Cathedeal, I read somewhere that the architecture of arches in Granada Cathedral reflects a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. The grand semicircular arches, characteristic of the Renaissance influence, frame the towering columns and create a sense of verticality. Ribbed vaults, remnants of the Gothic tradition, enhance the ceiling’s intricacy, while Baroque embellishments add ornate details, showcasing Spain’s evolving architectural styles. But the Spanish seafood risotto is really half-cooked rice and the rice is not very tasty Budget: 20-30 Euros. Afternoon: Albayzín - Visit Granada's old Moorish quarter and soak up the history. What to do: Explore the narrow, winding streets, visit key sites like the Mirror of St. Nicholas, and enjoy stunning views of the Alhambra. Mirador de San Nicolás - From here you can overlook the Alhambra. When the sun sets and the afterglow in the corner bathes the entire city, standing on the Mirador de San Nicolás and admiring the beautiful scenery is like being in a famous painting, which is refreshing. Other suggestions: If time permits, you may also consider visiting Granada Cathedral and the Royal Chapel. The pass gives you free entry to many attractions and free public transportation, allowing you to experience Granada's historical charm and architectural beauty. Here are some tips if you decide to visit here: 1) book tickets for Alhambra as early as you can 2) unless you are physically quite fit, avoid walking to it from centre ( as the journey is very up-hill). If you have mobility issues, do not walk to the attraction 3) for the palace inside, try to get to Alhambra much earlier than your ticket time as there is a fairly long walk from the Alhambra entrance to the actual palace entrance, its very likely to be late if you have not given yourself plenty of time in advance #Granada #spain #Alhambra
