Go to Zhuhai for a vacation, have a rich lunch buffet, take the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Jinba from the Hong Kong Port and then transfer to the shuttle bus (one every half hour). The bus stops at the Gongbei Qingmao Port Public Transport Interchange, get off and head towards the square Then came the Charming Hotel. The buffet restaurant is located on the first floor of the hotel.
You feel good when you walk in. The decoration is good, bright and clean, the seats are spacious and comfortable, almost up to the level of a buffet restaurant attached to a five-star hotel in Hong Kong and Macau. The service is more considerate than in Hong Kong and Macao.
The buffet starts at 12:00 noon. Customers who arrive early will be led to their seats by service staff. Guests are asked to get drinks first and wait until the time comes to get food. Unlike most buffet restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau, those who have not arrived at the time have to queue at the door to wait to enter. Awkward.
Worthy of being called a seafood buffet restaurant, there are many options for frozen seafood:
The frozen shrimps were quite large, fresh and smelling like shrimps, and their shells were bright and intact. They were quickly ordered by customers. Fortunately, they were replenished very quickly;
The emerald snail is very big. The shell is complete and the meat is protruding, which proves it is fresh. The meat of the snail is not bad, which is good;
Clams are a rare item in the buffet of frozen seafood. They are rarely provided. The ones served in this restaurant are relatively large, but the meat is a bit meaty;
Big clams, the sand is white, are also big, one or two are only covered with sand;
Spider crabs have a hard shell and not much meat, so it is not recommended to eat them;
Baby octopus is a kind of frozen food that is generally used for cooking. The restaurant has a furnace of boiling water nearby for guests to blanch and eat. This is rarely seen in cafeterias, but you can control it by yourself. The octopus is freshly cooked and quite delicious freshly blanched.
Royal Concubine Mussels, what is surprising is that the restaurant serves expensive Royal Concubine Mussels. The meat is thick and juicy, and the meat is fresh and crispy. I ate six of them in a row, and I believe I have returned to my roots.
Seafood served hot includes:
The roasted oysters with garlic paste are hot. Although they are not too big, the oyster meat is also fresh and plump. Two are provided at a time. If you like to eat more, you can ask the chef for more.
Spicy crayfish tastes good, spicy but thin.
Spicy flower crab, the crab is soaked in spicy soup to absorb all the juice, but the meat in the crab claws is a little less.
The nine-story pagoda boiled in sixties is also good.
The sashimi options include salmon, sea bream and sea bream, and there are a variety of sushi on the side of the counter.
Overall, eating seafood is worth the price of admission.
There are two types of salads: Chinese and Western:
The Chinese version includes chicken feet, clams, and shrimp salad;
Western-style salads and apple salads are available.
Grilled steaks that are ready to order include steaks, pork chops and chicken chops. The steaks have been marinated and thinly sliced, and the meat is juicy, suitable for Chinese tastes.
There are side dishes at the counter next to the steakhouse, including smoked duck breast, penne pasta and potato wedges.
There is a self-selected noodle and vegetable stall that is cooked on-site. There are a variety of noodles and vegetables to choose from, including watercress.
There is also a large selection of hot food, including baby cabbage soaked in soup, steamed pork ribs, salt and pepper duck chin, twice-cooked pork, buffet, rare tripe (beef tripe), salt and pepper salmon head, three-shredded fried noodles and Yangzhou fried rice, Chinese and Western soups , to my surprise, there was stew.
The dessert cabinet has a variety of cookies, panna cotta, ice cream balls, and chocolate towers. Fruits include watermelon, honey claw and dragon fruit.
The service is remarkable. It is rare for a mid-to-low-priced lunch buffet to have such high-quality service in Hong Kong and Macau. The lady who greeted the cashier from the counter, the lady who took the tables, and the girls and guys in the restaurant all seemed to have been strictly trained in their service attitude. Especially the waiter, Ms. Christine Shi, the deputy restaurant manager, seems to have rich management experience. The buffet restaurant has a discount for seniors. The price is so low (198 yuan for adults) and there is a discount for seniors. There are discounts for purchasing on the online platform. There are many seafood options and high-quality service. It is worth recommending.
