The price of Thai chicken rice is about 30-40% higher than that of roadside stalls or fly restaurants. The prices are similar to those in department store food courts. When the dishes were served, I took a look and found that the portions were generally small. The prices were mid-range and the food tasted delicious. Always wondered what is the fuss about this chicken rice but at the wrong time when it's crowded. Finally made my way here early around 11am after observing the Chinese tour crowd timings after a few days. Since I'm here, might as well try as much as I can. Ordered the mixed special that comes with steamed and fried chicken with a small piece of pig's blood. And also added a braised pork dish. The steamed chicken was tender and juicy. However, the fried cutlet's batter was a bit thck and hard. The braised pork was soft and tears off easily, and well seasoned. Overall, the meal was 330 baht.
