We visited Florence for a day. I fell in love with this city as soon as we arrived. It is a truly magical breathtaking place. I didn't want to leave and wished that we could have stayed longer as we didnt get to see as much as we would have liked.
This was out first experience of the city and the view just took our breath away! We walked down to the centre, crossing the river and taking our time to explore!! The city is rich in art and history, and you can walk everywhere. The churches such as Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce are by themselves art museums worthy of a visit. We also visited the Palazzo Vecchio, Giotto's Bell Tower, Piazza del Duomo. Then, we took the city bus and parked at PIAZZALE MICHELANGELO which is free parking and has the most incredibly beautiful views of Florence. It was a great first experience of the city. The city has a great vibe to it, the people are lovely and so much more laid. The best day of our holiday!!
Pro tips:
1. Buy tickets ahead of time and skip the line
2. Prepare to spend a significant amount of money
3. Spend an entire day or two (it's enough) in Florence

Giotto's Bell Tower, also known as the Campanile di Giotto in Italian, is a prominent landmark in Florence, Italy, located adjacent to the Florence Cathedral (Duomo di Firenze) and the Baptistery of St. John (Battistero di San Giovanni). The bell tower is situated in Piazza del Duomo, right next to the Florence Cathedral and opposite the Baptistery of St. John. Its central location makes it a focal point within the Florence Cathedral complex. You are required to climb the tower's 414 steps to reach the top and enjoy panoramic views of Florence and the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Address: Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza del Duomo, 50122 Firenze FI, Italy
Opening Hours: 8.15am - 6.45pm

Giotto’s Bell Tower, also known as Giotto’s Campanile stands at a height of approximately 84 metres with ornate bell chambers and arched windows, located in the Piazza del Duomo. It is a prominent landmark in Florence, Italy.
You need to pay an entrance to climb the 414 steps to the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower. The stairs are quite narrow and it can be quite tiring but it definitely worth of climbing up as the top of Giotto’s Bell Tower, you able to enjoy the panoramic views of the city and surrounding hills. Is breathtaking.
If you don’t want to spend any money, you can stroll around and walk around the piazza for free and see the Giotto’s Bell Tower from outside.
I want to travel to Hong Kong to see the panoramic views of the city.

Beautiful florence
Went to the duomo, also known as the florence cathedral to climb the bell tower for this impressive view of the entire historical centre. The climb was manageable with about 460+ steps with breaks in between. Totally worth the climb up and was rewarded with this magnificent view! We bought the giotto pass to gain access to this bell tower and remember to book the time slot for your ascend up to the viewpoint!
