This magnificent altarpiece is a masterpiece of the Renaissance and is well worth your time to admire. Strolling through the city, you will find that Ghent has many charming canals and bridges. The two streets along the canals, Graslei and Korenlei, are great places to view the city scenery. Here you can find numerous cafés and restaurants where you can sit down and enjoy Belgian food and beer while admiring the ancient buildings lining the canal. In addition, Ghent's Market Square (Vrijdagmarkt) is also a place worth visiting. Every Friday, there is a lively market here where you can buy local specialties, handicrafts and fresh ingredients, and experience the daily life of the people of Ghent. A day trip from Brussels to Ghent. We arrived around noon, but since it's a small town we had plenty of fun in half a day! ❤️10:00 Departure from Brussels ↓ ❤️Around 11:00 Arrival in Ghent (Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station) ↓ ❤️12:30 Book tickets at the Count's Castle ↓ ❤️13:00 Lunch at a popular cafe in front of the Count's Castle 　　　　　📍In Choc Gent ↓ ❤️14:00 Visit inside the Count's Castle ↓ ❤️15:00 Walk around Korenmarkt ↓ ❤️15:30 St. Nicholas Church ↓ ❤️16:00 St. Bavo's Cathedral and stroll around the area ↓ ❤️17:30 Take the bus to Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station ↓ ❤️18:00 Arrive at Ghent-Sint-Pieters Station ↓ ❤️19:00 Arrived in Brussels, headed to the hotel ⚠️Notes ・The Count's Castle was very crowded. We bought tickets at 12:30, but were given tickets for 2:00pm entry. Also, it took more than an hour to walk around slowly while listening to the castle's audio guide. (※No Japanese support) ・The churches and cathedrals are just around the corner, so you can walk between them. ・All the buildings seemed to close around 4-5pm. #thingstodo Ghent is one of my favourite city in Belgium and recently I have been the train station in Ghent. Inside of the station looks incredible with the painting, the shape is unique and special with the golden and blue colour. There’s also some bird logo on the painting and it made me feel comfortable when I looking at them. Moreover, the architecture is also awesome with the grey colour bricks and made the train station more attractive! The platform also easy to access! So let’s come to Ghent to see this! #ghent
