[2025 Singapore Restaurant] Travel Guide for Genki Sushi (Updated Mar)

I’m sure many of you have heard of Genki sushi, I was a huge fan of genki sushi before I discovered Sushiro. Came back today because there’s no sushiro at Northpoint, I think the food is still nice. My fav out of all is still the mentaiko fries, it’s so yummy!! I think the fries here is better than sushiro 🤪 Their most popular sushi definitely goes to the super gigantic beef slice on a small sushi, the beef is so nicely done and it’s so juicy, really must order this when y’all are here! Other sushi and sashimi are nice too, quality is quite good as well! I think all the sushi with mentaiko are very yummy, I also ordered salmon mentaiko and hotate mentaiko, all are yummy. Do take note that the outlet at north point is very small, always long queue. I would suggest you to come early to take a seat via a qr code and go shopping while waiting. I waited for 1 he for a seat. Otherwise I would think genki sushi is a nice place to have sushi :)

Salmon 3 flavours - you get to enjoy Salmon pepared into 3 different ways. But well, sashimi is still the best. 2. Salmon Belly DMZ - can't go wrong with ordering Salmon belly. Good source of fat to be consumed fresh! 3. Jumbo Kani Mentai DMZ - I wish it could be better for this kani sushi. The size is indeed jumbo, but the kani could have been prepared better. Overall, it is still a good experience to dine in, especially if you have children. They will love how the food is being delivered (and probably ordered more food to eat).

They have a wide variety of sushi options (it’s also known as a budget sushi brand for its affordability). Their Udon and Mentaiko Fries are very popular. They also have a collab with Spy x Family currently and have special peanut themed food. Their chicken burger nigiri is also very interesting. Do try them out if you’re interested ~

#traveldiaries Do visit Genki sushi if you love eating sushi! There is an outlet located at 313 Somerset conveniently. The store is quite big and not too crowded during peak hours. Managed to get a seat quite fast as turnover is quick. Their mentaiko salmon sushi is really good, together with the lobster gunkan and the mentaiko fries! Overall sushi here is very fresh and delicious. Wasabi scallop gunkan is also amazing. Do try these out when you’re here

If you are looking for Sushi at an affordable price at Bugis, consider Genki Sushi at Bugis+. Sushi and miso soup are available in at $2+. They also bring in seasonal items from time to time like specific beef sushi in September. Recommend you to get miso soup, squid sushi, Genki rolls and also try their green tea - which is not in a bag but powder form. Located near bUgis mrt, it is definitely a place you can visit - be it for snacks where you can just have a few plates of sushi or for main meals as a decent variety of sushi is available. Suitable for those with kids as well as sushi arrives on the entertaining train platform, instead of a human server so you can wait eagerly with kids (if any) for the sushi to arrive.
