Gendarmenmarkt is one of the most beautiful squares in Europe. The square stands with a statue of the famous German poet Friedrich Schiller. It is surrounded by German cathedrals, French cathedrals and concert halls. It is beautiful, harmonious and unforgettable. The square was opened and constructed by J.ANering from 1688, and it is called Friedrichstadt Square or New Square. From 1736 to 1782, the square was used by soldiers, hence the name "Royal Forest Square".

Ambiance/Facilities - located in front of the faculty of law in Berlin. it is the first Christmas market that I went that has heated stores in the compound. really need to warm as it was snowing halfway through!
Highlights - there is circus performance on stage and stores selling handicrafts and finger food.
