I went to Gellert Hill, one of the best night view spots in Budapest! The mountain is a little steep, but it takes about 20 minutes to reach the top. As of March 2025, the top was closed as shown in the photo. You can enjoy a beautiful night view with a panoramic view of the Danube! #EuropeanTravel Saint Gellert, an Italian missionary who was invited by the first king of Hungary, Stephen I, is said to have preached Catholicism to the Hungarians, but was caught by pagans and thrown off this hill to be martyred. In the early 20th century, a statue of Saint Gellert holding a cross was erected on the hillside and a memorial park was created. It is a good place to look down on the Duna River, but the view is not much different from the view from the palace.
