During the New Year period, we set off from Litang County and drove westward. There were almost no tourists along the way, especially on the day of the Genie loop, we even chartered all the attractions. 🚗 It takes about two and a half hours to drive from Litang County to Genie Town. Although it is all country roads, they are all newly paved roads, very wide and easy to drive. We drove round and round along the mountain roads of the country roads until we reached the 4800-meter blacksmith mountain pass. The Genie Mountain suddenly appeared in front of us, and the huge 'pressure' made us scream, it was so beautiful and spectacular‼️ 🏠 When you arrive at the entrance of Genie Town, you need to sign a 'Forest Grassland Fire Prevention Reminder' (required to be signed from October 1st to June 30th of the following year) and you can go in. There will be a fork in the road ahead, with two roads on the left and right. The road sign indicates to go to the 'Eye of Genie' to the left, but in fact both roads are passable. Looking back, you can see the full view of Litang Temple behind you, with orange and golden light, brilliant but not dazzling. 📍Litang Temple is also called 'Changqing Chunkeer Temple', located on the hillside of Zhongmolaka Mountain about 1 kilometer north of the county town. The place where we watch the sunset is on a small road to the right of the temple entrance, climbing up the hill + steps to the top of the hill, about 5 minutes. If you don't drive here, there are actually several places around where you can walk up. The road is less, but the dirt slope is a bit steep, and there is no place to park, so it is most convenient to locate at Litang Temple. 🌄The sun will be blocked by the distant mountains first, and enter the twilight time in advance. This approximately 260-kilometer cross route connects Litang and Batang, with snow-capped mountains and alpine meadows along the way, fulfilling all fantasies about the Sichuan West region. We set off from Batang and passed the D6 Batang-Chachong West Village section. Along the mountain road, we first crossed the Zawala Pass at an altitude of 5020 meters and arrived at Bomi Township. Although this section is a two-lane cement road, the road conditions are steep and winding, and there are risks of falling rocks and landslides in many places, requiring careful driving. After leaving Bomi Township, we continued to cross the Laozhe Longba Pass (4700 meters), and suddenly the Ge'nyen Sacred Mountain appeared in front of us, giving a strong visual shock. Standing on the viewing platform, you can overlook the entire canyon, the scenery is magnificent. Afterwards, we went downhill all the way through the Redi River Valley and finally arrived at the campsite in Chachong West Village. The last ten kilometers are pothole-like bad roads, and the road conditions are quite difficult. The campsite has a small shop, provides tents, and faces the south slope of the Ge'nyen Sacred Mountain. You can enjoy the most beautiful starry sky at night. The next day, we set off from Chachong West Village, and the road conditions of most sections are relatively good. Passing through the Xin Leng Ancient Temple and the Eye of Ge'nyen, we finally crossed the Tieshan Pass at an altitude of 4770 meters. Tieshan is desolate and lifeless. In the end, we returned to Litang and found a place to stay. Through this journey, I deeply felt the charm and magnificent scenery of the South Line of the Sichuan West Grand Circuit. Arrive at the lawn in front of Lenggu Temple in the afternoon for camping⛺️, altitude about 4100m, the camp has a network, hike 11 kilometers. Day3️⃣: Start at eleven thirty today, climb up the big lawn under Ge Nie Peak, there is a lone tree🌳, the scenery is particularly good, and also met two little boys who lost their horses, the two also rode a horse for a while under the snow mountain, very passionate. The weather started to get bad in the afternoon, thunder and lightning, rain and hail, in the end we decided to retreat to the pasture below for a night, and left the next day.
