Best Things to DoNo.1 of Best Things to Do in Faroe Islands
Natural scenery
Gasadalur is a very remote village. It is a village in the Faroe Islands that is accessible by road, so it is very quiet. The village is located on a cliff over the North Atlantic Ocean. The waterfall here is very famous. You can go and see it. Colorful wooden houses are scattered on the edge of the cliff. The roofs are covered with traditional turf, which forms a strong visual contrast with the gray-black basalt cliffs. The iconic Múlafossur waterfall falls directly into the sea from the entrance of the village, and together with the columnar reefs on the sea, it forms a classic postcard landscape of the Faroe Islands. Along the cliff trail, you can reach the top of the mountain viewing point. In summer, you can see puffins living on the nearby Mykines Island. The village retains a 19th-century fishing tool display house, and the wooden fish drying racks are still in use today. Walking through it, you can feel the strong quaint atmosphere. Here, time seems to slow down, allowing every visitor to immerse themselves in the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the pure beauty of nature.
