This is a well-known mentaiko-ju restaurant and there is always a line no matter when you go. I went in August, and the line is in an area with no shade, so if you're waiting in the summer, a parasol and a fan are a must. I went on a weekday at 11am and wasn't able to get in until 12:30, an hour and a half later. But it was worth the wait and the food is incredibly delicious. I always order the mentaiko-ju and tsukemen set, and although it doesn't look like a lot, the noodles are chewy and filling enough to fill you up. You can also get takeout, so if you don't want to wait in line, takeout is a good option!

Speaking of Fukuoka, it's mentaiko!!! The mentaiko rice bowl here is a must-try, and is a must-try at least once! The mentaiko stew tsukemen has thick noodles and a light soup, so I was very satisfied with the set meal!! A popular restaurant in Nakasu, Fukuoka City. I was hoping to eat some delicious mentaiko when I was on a trip to Fukuoka. It was about 2,000 yen by taxi from Hakata Airport. I arrived at 11am and waited about an hour and a half before going inside. Reservations are not accepted until 5pm, so you have no choice but to line up!! But if you order takeout, you can get it in about 10 minutes. I lined up because I wanted to try the pudding and tsukemen, which can only be eaten inside the restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is lined with autographs of famous people. The second floor has a restaurant-like atmosphere. It's also perfect for a date. You can leave your luggage on the first floor, so you don't have to worry. I ordered the rice and noodles soup set for 3,718 yen. The mentaiko rice bowl has a nice mix of sweet and spicy mentaiko wrapped in kelp, which goes well with rice. The Mentaiko Simmered Tsukemen has a strong mentaiko flavor, and the soup is delicious to the last bite. The best thing was the Mentaiko Soup! It's made with mentaiko, but it has a gentle and comforting taste. I waited in line in the cold, but I was very satisfied.
