Stockholm - an art capital with low-key beauty
🗓️Itinerary: April 18-20 - 3 days and 2 nights (strictly speaking, it was 2 days because we flew away on the morning of the third day). This time I had a friend to lead the way, so the itinerary was entirely left to my friend.
📍Gamla Stan - Stortorget Square
One of the most famous check-in spots in Sweden is in Stortorget, where several low-rise cottages with a Nordic style are located together. I recommend taking photos when there is plenty of daylight. No matter how you take the photos, they will be very good (even if I caught a flight in the early morning and didn’t have any makeup on).
📍Mårten Trotzigs gränd The narrowest street in the world
A one-way pedestrian path and a staircase that only takes half a minute to walk up. You can take a quick tour of this attraction, the only time it takes is waiting for the pedestrians on the other side to leave before you can start walking.
📍Art Station
Stockholm's railway station is an absolute must-see. I went to T-Centralen Station, Stadion Station and Kungsträdgården Station respectively, it was really shocking! Firstly, the railways in Sweden are very clean and a day trip on the Metro is very comfortable. I summarized my observations of each station. They are all dominated by rocks with different themed colors. Among them, Kungsträdgården Station attracted me the most. Its design is like a modern prison, with red and green as the main colors and a dark style. I was instantly immersed in the depressing city atmosphere.
📍Jussi Björlings allé King's Garden
The little happiness during the trip was seeing abundant cherry blossoms at the end of April. The cherry trees on both sides were in no way inferior to those in Japan.
📍Old Town
Old streets are a must-visit for every city, because all the souvenirs and gifts are gathered together. I bought a Ben & Jerry ice cream there, and the smell of waffles in front of the door was irresistible (it also sells egg waffles, I suspect it is run by Hong Kong people 🙈)
📍IKEA Stockholm - Mall of Scandinavia
When talking about Sweden, the first thing that comes to mind is IKEA and meatballs (although I didn’t eat them in the end), so we went to IKEA in the Scandinavia mall. The location is relatively far from the city center, so we had to take the subway and then transfer to the bus, but it was not too far. The products are similar, but you will see more IKEA yellow furniture products, the color is more avant-garde~
🥫Restaurang Kajsas Fisk Popular fish soup restaurant
We went to the Food Market in Hötorgshallen shopping mall for the Fish Soup, which costs SEK140 and can be refilled once. Crisp bread and salad are free. Don’t think that the soup is not filling, the seafood in the noodles is very filling. I would recommend adding a piece of butter and stirring it before drinking, it is super delicious! 😍 ps European butter is very fragrant. I saw the people at the isolated table ordered a bowl of spaghetti, which looked good, but unfortunately the soup alone was enough to fill them up!
🚗 Traffic Notes
Their public transportation all uses the same transportation card, and the fare is the same regardless of distance, as long as you enter and exit within the time limit. If I remember correctly, it is within 70 or 90 minutes after scanning the card. Another economical way to play is to buy a 24/72 hour transportation card, especially for those who are considering rail travel, the money will be recovered after several trips.
