#wheretogo For adrenaline seeker, you guys can pay a visit to the Fuji Q Highland. An amazing amusement park situated in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan. It took around 2 hour by bus from Tokyo Station. The most cool things about this place are the astounding view of Mount Fuji and abundance of world record of thrill rides such as Fujiyama, Do-Dodonpa, Takabisha, or Eejanaika. The entrance fee for a day is ¥6,400. I guarantee you will have a splendid moments here.

Fuji-Q Highland is located on Lake Kawaguchiko in Yamanashi Prefecture. It is an amusement park famous for its thrilling rides and also offers a view of Mt. Fuji. The picture shows the winter, with temperatures dropping to -2-4 degrees Celsius, so some areas may have snow. Or, while we were riding the rides, our hands and feet were so cold that they were numb. There are roller coasters that will make you scream. There are 4 thrilling roller coasters and a scary haunted house that is hard to find in Japanese amusement parks. There are also rides and activities for young children, so the whole family can have fun. In addition to the thrilling rides, Fuji-Q Highland also has a Naruto village that makes you feel like you are in the world of the Naruto cartoon. Free admission, you can ask for a free admission ticket at the ticket counter. The staff will give you a card with a QR code to scan at the entrance and stand straight to take a photo before entering. Once you enter, you can choose to play only the machines without having to buy a ticket in advance (for those who cannot play scary rides, it is recommended to buy a ticket for each ride at the machine. The price of the ride is 800-1500 yen. If you have to get wet, there are raincoats to borrow. Press the machine for an additional 100 yen). For teenagers and those who can buy a ticket online, it is definitely more worthwhile. Inside is a theme park with beautiful photo spots. The price of the restaurants inside is the same or cheaper than outside. It is not suitable for small children and the elderly (but you can come in and sit and eat, walk around the garden, and take beautiful photos while waiting). For those who use wheelchairs, there is a path for users all the time. For those staying at Mystay Onsen Hotel, you can get off in front of Fuji Q and go through the back exit. Walk out the back, turn left, cross the railway, walk straight along the gas station and turn left again. Look up high and see the hotel sign. Walk straight until you reach a red light and cross the road. If you love thrills, fuji q highland need to be in your itinerary when you visit mount fuji!! They have the scariest roller coaster in 1990s and it is still standing till this day. The rides here is full of fun and thrills. Suitable if your height is 150cm and above. The staff are so helpful. You can buy and 1 day pass, half day pass and per ride pass. The park has extreme and insane roller coasters! However, as many attractions were closed, the lines were approximately 2 hours! If you come to Mt. Fuji, it's definitely a must go, but make sure it's in low season as myself, otherwise it’s necessary to buy a FREE PASS to get the chance to ride in all attractions! #GiveThanks

Here are some of the best spots I found for taking photos of Mount Fuji. 📍 Lake Kawaguchi (one of the Fuji Five Lakes) P2-P7 Best spots: Oishi Park, Tenjozan Park (cable car available) Recommended time: Early morning or evening, when the light is soft and perfect for photos Nearby activities: I recommend renting a car, or taking a bus from Kawaguchiko Station. You can also cycle around the lake if the weather is warm. 📍 Shimoyoshida P8-P11 Best spots: The observation deck on top of Asama (where you can take photos of Mount Fuji and the temple), Nichikawa Clock Shop Street (if there are too many people, you can go to the alley next to it) Recommended time: Early morning or afternoon, when the light is perfect for taking classic photos 📍 Fuji-Q Highland P12-P15 Best spots: You can take photos of the roller coaster and Mount Fuji in the park; the entrance of Highland Resort Hotel & Spa (we took our photo of Mount Fuji at sunrise here) Recommended time: Early morning or evening, when the light is perfect for photos. You can also enjoy the sunset over Mount Fuji in the evening, which is the most romantic time of day. The five lakes surrounding Mount Fuji each have their own unique features. Lake Yamanaka is the largest, while Lake Sai is the most peaceful. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to visit any of the other lakes besides Lake Kawaguchi, which is a shame.

#themepark We went on a weekday during the holidays pretty crowded but we expected that. If you want to enjoy your time you best get priority tickets as you will wait upwards of 2hrs for a ride If you don't have one. There is plenty of thrills for the whole family don't leave without getting on Fujiyama. There is one major downside to the theme park, everything is painfully slow it takes about 30min for a safety checks before the ride can start. Ordering food is also painfully slow, even packet of fries or a drink takes about 30 min to be delivered. Bring an extra bag of patience.

This theme park boasts some of the most intense and unique attractions in the world. Multiple Guinness World Record holding rollercoasters. Definitely worth the visit if you are looking for an adrenaline rush and adventure- filled day. Entry is free! You can either pay per ride or purchase a day pass to access almost all the rides. Queues for the more popular rollercoasters were around 100-120mins on a Friday, definitely try to visit on a weekday for shorter waiting times

Went to Fuji Q Highlands for a day of fun! Weather was great (cold, but bright and sunny too). There were lots of heart thumping rides including Fujiyama. Ideal for families with little ones (who can visit Thomasland), couples and friends to visit and have a blast. There are lockers around the theme park if you have your luggage with you, and plenty of food and snack options.

Fuji-Q Highland is highly recommended and super fun. After checking out on that day, we originally planned to head straight back to Tokyo, but since we were already there, we decided to visit the park. If you don't want to ride the attractions, you can enter the park for free, which is great for those who just want to walk around. The park isn't very big, but the advantage is that the attractions are concentrated, so you don't have to walk too far. We were lucky enough to see the beautiful Mount Fuji that day, and the view from the roller coaster was truly amazing. Unfortunately, we had to catch a train, so we didn't get to try all the attractions. We definitely want to go back next time!

#100WaysOfTravel Bloody brilliant place with lots of thrills. This is a theme park for adult. The system they have in place is pretty inclusive in my opinion as you can enter completely for free and then decide later if you'd like to ride any attractions by purchasing the ride tickets separately. You will still need to visit the ticket booth to get a free admission pass, dont be concerned they just confirm how many you need and issue you a piece of paper with a QR code. When entering you need to take a photo to attach it to your admission ticket. Each ride is priced differently so do check out the ticket booths conveniently placed nearby the attraction. The ones I checked out were: Haunted house: 4,000JPY (entry for up to 4 adults) Zokkon: 2,000JPY (1 adult) Impossible game: 1,500JPY (1 adult) The queues on each ride can get quite long though, most of the ones i checked out that you dont get wet on was 40 minute wait. Overall, Fuji-Q Highland delivers an adrenaline-packed experience with the iconic backdrop of Mount Fuji, making it a must-visit for thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.

I was enticed by the cute characters while awaiting for my train and hence, freely captured these photos. In my observation during my visit, I am amazed that there’s quite a number of amusement / fun theme parks across the country, catering especially for the young kids, which I think is utmost important for parents and the kids to foster quality bonding times together. Time lost can never be reversed, cherish every moment with the kids during their growing age can truly make a difference in their life when they grow up. I would love to spend time in these fun park if I have more time in my next visit to Japan!
