Even at the airport late at night, security was good, so I felt safe. There were many benches and chairs in the airport, so I was able to find a seat and rest, and there were also relatively quiet areas, so I was able to spend my time comfortably. In particular, Terminals 1 and 2 had outlets at each seat, so it was easy to charge my phone. There was also a restaurant that sold simple food, so I bought some food in advance and was able to spend time on a bench in front of it. Overall, the airport facilities were well-maintained, so I was able to stay safe until my early morning flight.

I recently had a short layover in Frankfurt in terminal 2. It was a very quick and efficient method to get the many passengers through security, and once through, there were plenty of places to eat, drink and relax. At the boarding gates, there are lots of seating spaces with nice views of the runway and charging stations available for electronics. Recently visited Frankfurt during a 6h layover The city has a beautiful old town area (altstadt) with beautiful old German buildings and Kaiserdom St Bartholomaus. Remember to check out Römerberg, a historical town square with reconstructed timber houses. Ah almost missed this one out!🎈 it is well known that the ground experience is lacking for SQ’s Suite passengers in Frankfurt Airport - so I did embark on this part knowingly 🥲 While not quite on par with what a SQ Suite ground experience should be, this Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge was decent enough for a otherwise regular airport lounge chilling 🌿 They could do with more sofa seats as it was terribly crowded during my costs but I managed to snag a solo spot to do abit of plane spotting for an hour, sipping baileys on the rock 🍸 The breakfast spread seem decent though I didn’t partake - definitely enough for breakfast 🍳 Toilets were clean which was a bonus too 🧼 [Complete review and pics on Satu Kosong Travel Blog]

SUITE DREAMS - Lufthansa Senator Lounge Had a brief 2-hour layover at this very non first class lounge at Frankfurt Airport while my 1A is being refreshed for my onward journey to JFK 🫥 It was actually a adequate for a quick stint even as toe big space felt very no frills and nondescript. Huge seating and plenty options to hide yourself in, with semi private “business booths” available if you so wish (got printer also). 💺 Food wise saw quite a decent selection of breakfast nosh laid out in bright dining sections which was nice. Can’t vouch for the quality as I was saving my appetite for more Comtes onboard. 😜 Perhaps the weakest link in this part of my journey but ah wells. #February travel support event Paulaner in the Squaire (It's not super delicious ~ but it's reasonably priced for an airport and the beer is really good, so I recommend it) Zeppelin-Museum Zeppelinheim (It's a museum near the airport, and there's not a lot to see, but it's good for killing some time! I recommend it because there's no admission fee!)

#wheretogo Whenever I need to go Karlsruhe Germany for business trip, I will need to touch down at Frankfurt Airport. Thus, it holds some special memories. I remember the times I had coffee and meals over here. Just recently, I had some pasta over here while waiting for my flight to go back Singapore. I also came here recently to catch a flight to Bergen for a holiday.

Instructions of Lufthansa was unclear. Information was limited, directions and help are insufficient in case of delays. Explanations were weak, only received next day on plane saying engine issues. Several flights have been cancelled on 24 Aug, making the queue for hotels long. Organisation was bad and staff are unhelpful. The hotel/ hostel that was put to is without any AC, limited toiletries. Can’t image how to survive without checked items staying there. I don’t recommend flying with Lufthansa. Never again experience. Uncomfortable and you don’t feel being taken care of throughout.

Also boarding at the gate can be quite crowded due to heavy passenger volume and traffic as well as small terminal spaces. Also the security section is not demarcated well, if you aren't careful you might accidentally leave the security section and have to go through security again, not great for transferring passenger.

After a long beautiful tour around Frankfurt in Germany, we finally are on our way back to Nigeria, it saddens my hearts that we're coming back to Nigeria, I would love to live my life in Germany but then, some limitations are there also, I can only visit but not stay, at last we are on our way to my beautiful country Nigeria, I was able to take a picture of the airport after being a little bit shy, and I also took a picture of the taxi that brought us to the airport, the feeling was so awkward because I usually get air sick whenever I fly.
