The typical brunch in Sabah I miss the most is Fook Yuen's Roti Kahwin that pair with Teh Tarik. The Roti Kahwin, baked or non baked, both toast are good taste with great cold butter and kaya. In addition, we also order a fried rice compliment with sambal and anchovies. There are many more choices of food, e.g. Dimsum, porridge, and noodles. Fool Yuen is a no thrills of sorts restaurant that serves local Malaysian delights. It's designed almost like a fast food type restaurant where you order and take what you want then you pay. You then collect your dishes and find a seat to enjoy your food.
The highlights here are the Kaya toast as well as their teh tariks and kopis. All these were extremely delicious and lived up to their expectations.
One of the best things about here is that you can grab an early or late breakfast. Expect a simple affair without air conditioning but still bearable!

In the leisurely and slow-paced Kota Kinabalu, many shops are open at noon or evening, while Fuyuan is open 24 hours a day.
