The main shrine and sutra repository were standouts, the scale of those buildings leaves you with a real sense of grandeur and humility. The vegetarian restaurants are almost all in the Buddha museum section, where the 8 Pagodas are, and seem all reasonably priced. We started at the other end of the monastery so had eaten by the time we found these. Definitely worth a day trip, especially if you enjoy learning about other religions or cultures

Very spacious. No entrance ticket required. I took a light train to Jiuqutang Station and changed to a bus to get there. Had to walk through 4 huge towers to get to the main temple. There's a mall inside the area and they sell a lot of souvenirs there, also some cafés, a restaurant serving vegetarian buffet, which is not so common for a religious place, they obviously made it a tourist attraction. #travel #temple
