An Australian floral will be displayed in Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay from 23 September to 17 November 2024, in collaboration with the Toowoomba Regional Council.

Flower Dome, an indoor attraction in Singapore, is a large indoor greenhouse botanical garden with a very diverse ecology and flowers. It is very spacious and requires at least two or three hours to visit.
There is also a waterfall area inside Flower Dome, which is built a bit like a small mountain. It is very cool. It is not as stuffy inside as it is outside, so it is very comfortable.

📞About Phone Cards and Currency Exchange
Before the trip, for convenience, I decided to exchange currency in my home country. But in retrospect, I didn't really need that much cash. In Singapore, you can almost use credit cards, Alipay and other electronic payment methods, and you can enjoy discounts when using Alipay in duty-free shops at the airport. Therefore, I suggest only exchanging a small amount of cash, which can also be done at Changi Airport. At the same time, I also prepared a Visa chip credit card, which is convenient for payment and brushing subways and buses (although there are some fees, it is very convenient).
To meet the needs of short, medium and long-distance travel, I bought Singtel's 5G/4G Singapore SIM card on platforms like TB. These SIM cards offer different choices such as 7 days, 14 days, 28 days, which are very suitable for my travel plan. And, I can pick it up at the UOB window at Changi Airport, Singtel's signal is very good. In addition, these SIM cards also come with a transportation card, which can be used on subways and buses, and it has already been topped up with 3 Singapore dollars.
⛰About Attractions and Routes
My itinerary is as follows: Hotel-Singapore River-Merlion Park-Marina Bay Sands Hotel/Gardens by the Bay-Dinner/Bar. Alipay Gold and above members can apply for a membership card at the 'SANDS LIFESTYLE' counter next to the food court of Marina Bay Sands Mall or Marina Bay Sands Hotel, so that they can get two free tickets to the Sky Garden of Marina Bay Sands, just need to make an appointment in advance. Don't forget to visit the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest, Super Tree (two free light shows every night at 19:45 and 20:45) and OCBC Skyway (you can overlook the entire garden and Ice Bay).
Next is Sentosa-Universal Studios-Orchard Road. I remind everyone not to choose to go to Universal Studios on weekends, because Universal Studios in Singapore is very small, most of the projects have single-person channels, so even if you do not buy VIP channel tickets, you basically do not need to queue, very convenient. And, you can reach Palawan Island by walking over a suspension bridge from Palawan Beach, you can go to check in the southernmost point of the Asian continent, but remember to go early, because you can't go up the suspension bridge after five o'clock.
Fook Ning-National Museum/Art Gallery, Old Xi Street Police Station & Central Fire Station-Chinatown. When I was taking pictures in the popular tree hole in Fook Ning, the queue time was very long, so I suggest everyone to arrange time in advance. When we went, the art gallery was free, so remember to make an appointment to buy tickets in advance, the art gallery is very large, it is worth spending a whole day to visit carefully. To be honest, Little India is not highly recommended, I personally feel that Haji Lane is more worth visiting, and the Michelin restaurant is not as delicious as imagined.
Finally, it is New Changi. In fact, Changi Airport itself is a very fun place, I arranged it on the day of the return journey. The most famous is the indoor waterfall (HSBC Rain Vortex), the waterfall can be photographed from the viewing platform on each floor, but only the airport shuttle can be photographed passing in front of the waterfall in the bridge part. Each terminal has many fun and photogenic places, such as the Cactus Garden, Orchid Garden, Sunflower Garden, Dream Garden, etc., and they are connected by a small train, which is very convenient.

Dahlia Dreams
Legend of the Dragon Gate
19 Jan - 25 Feb 2024
Flower Dome, Gardens By The Bay
Experience the enchanting allure of Dahlia flowers as they grace in the Flower Dome at Gardens By The Bay. Marvel at Dahlia blooms showcasing various sizes and vibrant colors, offering a rare chance to admire an extensive collection of these flowers during the Chinese New Year festivities.
In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, visitors to the Flower Dome are greeted by a colossal dragon sculpture standing at an impressive height of 5.5 meters. Crafted from driftwood and recycled steel, this remarkable dragon cradles the jewel of life in its arms, symbolizing themes of growth, progress, and abundance. Renowned British-born sculptor James Doran-Webb is the mastermind behind this awe-inspiring creation.
Taking center stage amid the flowers is a majestic 7-meter-tall dragon, spanning an impressive length of over 15 meters. It is encircled by four vibrant dragon lantern sets, each representing the elements of metal, water, fire, and earth. This floral arrangement stands as the most enchanting Chinese New Year display in Singapore, located within Gardens By The Bay.

Stunning Flower Dome in Singapore
#singaporetrip
Gardens by the Bay Flower Dome is home to various species of flora, including shrubs and trees located at the heart of Singapore. It is approximately 25 minutes walk from Merlion Park.
Although it is free to enter the Gardens by the Bay complex, admission inside the Flower Dome requires a fee. I can say that every penny spent is worth it! The entire place is absolutely beautiful. I love the well-designed flower display filled with colourful and creative decorations. I also loved the fact that the Flower Dome is air-conditioned. I was able to relax and cool down while enjoying the stunning views.

Beautiful Place with Lovely Floral Displays
As one of the attractions in Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome showcases a huge variety of flower displays based on the various themes available during the particular period. There are a couple of themed area in the conservatory so there are many photogenic areas to explore. I came during the Sakura themed period so there was lots of Japanese themed decorations along the center of the conservatory. Thus you can come at anytime of the day as the decorations will rotate based on the various themes available. However, as there are limited nightlights in the venue, therefore try not to come close to the closing time.

World’s Largest Greenhouse
The Flower Dome is one of the most popular attractions in Gardens by the Bay. It’s massive - in fact, it is the largest indoor greenhouse in the world. The interior is beautifully curated, with plants from all over the world (i.e. think tropical palms, African savannah trees, desert succulents, colorful floral displays). The temperature inside is also cool and comfortable, a perfect place to cool off from the Singapore heat.

Feeling cold at Ice Cavern
#mysgmemories
Can lah! Let’s go Christmas party la! This location is inside an air con place, and you can feel cold trying to pretend you are in a winter country. Seeing the roof of the house pile up with thick layer of snow can teleport you to a winter country. In Singapore, we do not have cold seasons so feeling cold is what we like to do when our daily temperature is above 30 degrees Celsius. Every theme at Flower Dome is always interesting and without fail, the quality of decoration is worth paying the admission fee. You can also keep a lookout on discounts and buy the tickets online too.

We were also teleported to other countries with the set up such as Rumah Tungkup, Ruean Thai, Rumah Torah and Rumah Pahang. Orchid Extravaganza at Night 2023
#mysgmemories
As always don’t forget to visit flower dome at night when you are here! Since this year’s Orchid Extravaganza is themed with our neighbouring countries, it was really fun to visit, it felt like we are out for a night walk overseas and to see the flower dome in different lights. The orchid is Singapore’s national flower and there are many species of it! Sometimes a new species is created whenever a very important visitor visits Singapore. Be sure to spot the different traditional houses, landscape, flowers and even a mini water feature that even has haze machine to give the misty effect.

Orchid Extravaganza Day 2023
#mysgmemories
Gardens By The Bay’s 2023 Orchid Extravaganza is often held in conjunction with Singapore’s National Day. But this year’s themed is rather special because it’s actually themed together with Indonesia and Thailand. Which really you to step into the flower dome and feel transformed into another neighbouring country. The first exhibition was the Lath House, which reminds you of your own secret garden, with hanging orchids, there are also building that resemble the shop houses of Singapore. I love the nature set up, there was even a mini waterfall with smoke machine. There are also botanical art by different people where you can see creative ways of potting a flower.

A Captivating Sakura Experience at Gardens by the Bay
From the moment we entered the garden, we were greeted by a vibrant explosion of colors and delicate floral fragrances. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, transforming the entire park into a mesmerizing wonderland. The showcase featured an exquisite variety of cherry blossom trees, carefully curated to represent different species and varieties found in Japan.
Unlike the traditional Hanami in Japan, picnic is prohibited inside the Flower Dome, but you still can enjoy your tea time or have a nice meal in Hortus, a casual Mediterranean cuisine restaurant by Michelin star chef Michael Wilson that's located inside the Flower Dome.
We highly recommend visiting Gardens by the Bay during their Sakura season if you have the chance. Whether you're nature enthusiasts, photography lovers, or simply seeking a captivating cultural experience, Sakura at Gardens by the Bay is an event that shouldn't be missed. Do come early in the morning or during weekdays to avoid the crowd as the Sakura season is highly popular among the visitors!

Romantic Rose Romance 2023
#singaporetrip
Rose romance 2023 at night is probably most appropriate for a romantic walk without the crowd at Gardens Bay The Bay. Soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of the pretty roses and scenic set up which included heart shape arc, huts, bicycles and even a trishaw.
You should try it if you haven’t, I’ve even convinced my friend to experience it and they were in awe. Because in the day. With the crowd you really can’t slowly admire the flowers.
I felt that the night ambience allowed myself to feel like I am in Italy outdoors.
Exploring and roaming around various gardens with different rose displays. The water fountain stood out as my personal favourite.

Rose Romance 2023 Day Time
#singaporetrip
The Rose Romance 2023 is here and my favourite bouquet type, rose, is the star of the show 🥰. That means many many roses all over but “free” and for everyone to enjoy.
This year, the theme is centered around the stunning region of Puglia in Southern Italy, which is a popular wedding destination.
The dome even had wedding decorations which I initially thought was to market their wedding packages.
I felt transported overseas to a garden with thousands of roses, including a few cute heart-shaped flower arc and a beautiful water fountain. I love the water fountain! Felt so peaceful listening to it flow.
The little huts set up were also reminiscent of whitewashed hill towns, and I appreciated the effort put into making them look like cozy cottages with people living inside (bicycles and etc).
