Getting There - busses and flights available from all major cities in Argentina including Ushuaia. Attractions - plenty of amazing hikes from town including Fitz Roy. lots of view points en route to the final viewing platform. around 9k but the final 1k is brutal uphill. wear proper hiking shoes in the winter / autumn as it’s very snowy. Hotels - plenty of high end hotels and hostels in town. all with maps and weather indicators for the next day. Food & Restaurants - some fantastic choices of Argentinian cuisine and also pub food to choose from. As the name suggests, it is a city built for sightseeing and a paradise for hikers. Although the town is small, it has everything; supermarkets, bakeries, and multi-cultural restaurants are all here. Fitz Roy Peak (Spanish: Monte Fitz Roy) is located in the Southern Patagonia Ice Field in South America, at the border between Argentina and Chile (3,359 meters above sea level). The mountains are steep and rugged, shrouded in clouds all year round, like a fairyland. The glacial lake "Laguna de los Tres" formed by glacial snow water in front of Mount Fitz Roy is surrounded by clouds and mist all year round.
