Fansipan @ Sapa “Roof of Indochina”
For those who love conquering the mountain, Som-O would like to recommend the highest peak in Indochina, “Fansipan Mountain” because it is the highest peak in Vietnam and the Indochina Peninsula.
Fansipan is the highest mountain in Vietnam at 3,143 meters high, nicknamed “Roof of Indochina”, located in Sapa City, Lao Cai Province, Vietnam.
The highlight of conquering Fansipan Mountain is taking the cable car, and when you reach the end of the cable car, you have to walk all the way to the top of Fansipan to take a photo with the pyramid sign that says 3.143 meters high.

Fansipan is a destination that anyone who visits Sapa must come here. It is a mountain peak that you can take a cable car to in Sapa city, in the Sun Plaza building. When you go up the cable car, you will reach a point where there is a temple and sacred objects for us to pay homage to first. From here, you can walk up or take a tram to conquer Fansipan Mountain, which is the highest mountain peak in Indochina, which includes Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia, at 3,143 meters above sea level. We chose to walk up to stop at various points that the tram would not pass, and then take the tram down. There is a buffet below with a wide variety of food.
- Travel: Take a plane to Hanoi, then take a sleeper bus to Sapa, and have the bus company take you to your hotel.
- It is recommended to find accommodation near the Sun Plaza building, which is the center of various restaurants and the cable car station.
- Booking the cable car in advance is very convenient. It is recommended to book a buffet package that is the best value. You can book through Trip.

Fansipan Monorail

To go up Fansipan, you must come to Sapa City Center and see that building. You can get on at Sun World Cable Car Station. First, take the monorail and then the cable car. I saw this train pass by a few times at my accommodation in Cat Cat Village, so it was amazing to finally ride it. It costs about 40,000 won, and we bought it from a local taxi driver, but we were disappointed because the price was the same as the online platform. I thought there was a tip for locals to buy it cheaper, but ahh

It is called the roof of Indochina, 3,143 meters above sea level. To get there, we have to take a cable car up and walk up the stairs to the top of the mountain. The weather is cold up there. Sometimes there is thick fog and light rain. Sometimes the sky is clear. There are many places for tourists to stop and take pictures. From the top, you can see many mountains stacked together, which is beautiful.

You don't just ride the cable car up once.
I recommend investing a whole day. The weather changes several times as you go up, but just by coming up here, pretty flowers bloomed, and the train was so cute that I think I took hundreds of pictures. The view from above is also quite pretty.
Book a flight ticket through the Trip app, fly to Sapa, Sapa, a city in the mist, located in the north of Vietnam. We traveled from Hanoi Airport and continued on by a sleeper bus that picked us up at the airport to continue our journey to Sapa. The journey took about 10 hours, but the view we saw was worth it. Surrounded by mountains, lush green nature, take the tram and cable car to the top of Fansipan Mountain, the highest mountain in the sky. #sapa #VietnamTravel #vietnam #fansipanmountain #monorail

Sapa, the Switzerland of Vietnam
Sapa, located in northern Vietnam, is a famous tourist destination for its beautiful mountainous terrain and traditional ethnic minority culture. It boasts a landscape that is comparable to the Swiss Alps, and is nicknamed “Switzerland of Vietnam.”
The first thing that catches your eye when you arrive at Sapa is the scenery of green rice fields and mountains. Just looking at the terraced rice fields on the mountainside is soothing, and the morning fog creates a beautiful picture-like beauty. In particular, in the fall, the rice fields turn golden, creating an even more enchanting spectacle.
Sapa is also home to various ethnic minorities. The sight of ethnic minorities such as the Mong and Tai people wearing traditional costumes and opening traditional markets is exotic, yet allows you to feel the deep cultural charm of Vietnam. Here, you can find unique handicrafts of the ethnic groups, and it is also fun to look at or buy traditional costumes and accessories.
Sapa’s trekking course is a must-see for travelers. Fansipan is the highest mountain in Indochina. You can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view by taking a cable car up to it. When you reach the top of the mountain, you will feel like you are floating above the clouds, and you will be amazed by the entire scenery of Sapa at a glance.
For accommodation, you can stay at a homestay or resort that has been renovated from a traditional house, and you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese food in a quiet environment and spend a leisurely time.
Sapa is a perfect travel destination to experience the unique charm of Vietnam, where magnificent nature and traditional culture are well combined. #Couples #Families #Vietnam

Conquer the highest peak in Indochina on a day when the sky is not cooperating.
One of the highlights that you must not miss if you come to Sapa is to climb to the top of Fansipan. Today, we will take everyone to see the view on the top of the mountain by taking the cable car or cable car. The way to go up must buy a ticket at Sun Plaza building, the price is about 935,000 VND, including the tram, the cable car back and forth. The view along the way is the best, very beautiful. Below will be a rice terrace that is very beautiful. If anyone wants to see beautiful rice terraces like this, come around August-October.
Actually, if you reach the top on a day with clear skies, you will see a very beautiful mountain view. But when I went, there was very thick fog, so I missed the beautiful view. But it's okay. I will definitely come back to conquer it again next time.

Take a cable car to visit Fansipan peak⛰️

#100 ways to travel
In just 2 months, winter will arrive. Vietnam is another destination that Wan and Phuc recommend. If you come, you will definitely feel the cold wind with your hands frozen. The city worth visiting during winter is Sa Pa, which has many places to visit, such as the yellow building Sun Plaza, Sa Pa Square, and many cafes around the city. And don't miss taking the cable car to conquer Fansipan Mountain.
Fansipan Mountain is nicknamed the "Roof of Indochina" with an elevation of 3,143 meters above sea level. Conquering it is not difficult. Start by taking the monorail at Sun Plaza to Moung Hoa Station to take the cable car. At Moung Hoa Station, follow the signs to the cable car station. It will take about 15-20 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. At this time, grab your phone and camera because the view is amazing. Taking pictures in the cable car is really cool.
The recommended time to go to the top of the mountain is around 8-9 am because there will be soft light shining down. So that you can take beautiful pictures because if you arrive at the peak too late, the fog will be very thick. This time, you can't see anything in the pictures. And prepare clothes, gloves, and socks. In Sa Pa city, it may be just cold, but on the peak, I can tell you that it's so cold that your mouth will turn green.

Had the mo
Had the most beautiful memorable experience in Sapa. Breath-taking views, clean air, and feeling like you're on top of the world on Fansipans peak makes it all worth it. Make sure to pack warm clothes if it's winter. 🏖️Ambiance/Facilities: Restaurant, Cafe, cable carts.

Do you know this cable car ride holds holds the Guinness World Record for the longest non-stop three-rope cable car, making it a marvel of engineering. It has a max elevation of more than 1600 meters which is understandably why many people chose to take cable car up the mountain instead of hiking. 🤣 the whole package can be purchased via trip for the rounded cable car ride and to the entry of Fansipan. It cost about 1.03m vnd for the ticket for adult fare. #familytrips2024 #vietnamtrip
