According to one legend, in a nearby city lived a beautiful girl who was pursued by a seven-headed dragon. The dragon, in love with her, asked her to marry him. However, she declined, saying she loved another. The dragon, heartbroken, cursed the valley, proclaiming that on the night of the full moon, the water in one of the wells would rise and flood the valley until the girl changed her mind. Not far from Issyk Kul Lake, Szaska Canyon is an absolute HEAVEN for us nature enthusiasts! The canyon is mostly red soil and has very interesting geological formations. What’s even better, you can have the view of a lake if you climb to the higher viewpoints! On a sunny day, the colors would just shine and pop!
