On the first day of my trip, I visited Marienplatz and the New Town Hall (Neues Rathaus). I started my journey at Marienplatz, the heart of Munich. Admiring the New Town Hall with its famous Glockenspiel that chimes daily 🥰 📍Marienplatz 8, 80331 Munich I took a short walk from Marienplatz, this iconic church with its twin towers is a must-see 😍😍 Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Lady) 📍 Frauenplatz 12, 80331 Munich Then I walked to a cafe nearby, Café Frischhut for their doughnut 🍩 This place is famous for its Schmalznudeln (Bavarian doughnuts). It tastes so so good and im misusing it 😃 📍Prälat-Zistl-Straße 8, 80331 Munich I also visited Royal Palaces and Gardens, explored the baroque palace and its vast gardens. It was really beautiful and worth to visit 😍 📍Schloss Nymphenburg 1, 80638 Munich Aside, I also visited English Garden (Englischer Garten). Strolled through one of the largest urban parks in the world. I also spent sometimes exploring Museums and Historical Sites. My favorite one would be Deutsches Museum. One of the world's largest and oldest science and technology museums. Once a year, Munich hosts a very special Ball at dawn in the English Garden beer garden that starts at 4am. It’s an old tradition, called Korcherball that was held by the servants who were not allowed to attend the Balls. Nowadays the tradition remains the third week of July with 10,000 people gathering to share an amazing early morning/late evening time by decorating the tables with chandeliers, bringing traditional food and of course with beer! #Snowscape It was a cold midwinter day in Munich. The lake in the Englischer Garten was frozen. It is a large English-style garden in the center of Munich. Local Munich residents brought their own skates and ice hockey equipment and played a game. I didn't have skates, so I walked on the ice in sneakers. The English Garden is one of the largest urban parks in the world, and the largest in Munich. I came here for a walk during one of my work trips to Munich and was amazed by the vast size of the park. I didn’t have enough time and could only explore a small portion of it. It was a beautiful day with the perfect weather. There were many pavilions peppered all around the park to have your ice cool German beer. If I had more time I would have loved to have a picnic or leisure cycle to explore more of the grounds. #park #germany #munich

Munich’s beer culture is legendary, and I had to check out the famous *Hofbräuhaus*. The atmosphere was lively, with long wooden tables, local music, and of course, a huge stein of beer! 🍻 It’s free to enter, but be prepared to spend around 10-12 EUR for a liter of their delicious brew. For something more peaceful, I took a stroll through the *Englischer Garten*, one of the largest urban parks in the world. The park’s beauty is stunning, and I was lucky enough to catch some surfers riding the river waves at the *Eisbach*. Visiting the English Garden in Munich was a fun and relaxing experience 🌳. The vast green spaces and tranquil lakes provide a perfect escape 🌿. I enjoyed walking along the trails, relaxing by the river, and taking in the breathtaking scenery 🏞️. The traditional garden was a great place to taste local cuisine and drinks 🍻. Overall, the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, making the English Garden an ideal place to unwind and enjoy nature.

#europetrip This is a must see while in Munich. This park is massive and you can easily spend a few days there. Before even entering the park you can hang out and watch surfers tackle the Eisbachwelle. From there, you can enter the park and have your choice of multiple walking paths all leaving to beautiful scenery. The Biergarten am Chineesischen Turm is huge, borderline impossible not to find a seat there. Near the food stand, they have smaller tables that seat 2 or 4 people. A little further away from the food stand they have traditional biergarten style benches. The Mini-Hofbrauhaus was neat to stop by. Seating for maybe 100 people. Very small and if you are coming from the Eisbachwelle it is a bit of a hike. We spent several hours at the park over a two day period and still felt like there was so much we didn't see.

Many shops are closed on the 6th, so relaxing in the park is a good choice! The English Park in Munich is really huge! There is also a cool surfing spot. The temperature on the day we visited was only about two degrees, so the body temperature of surfers was probably negative! We were curious if anyone was surfing in this cold, and it turns out there are! There are still many people queuing up, and everyone is watching the surfers take turns performing. It’s really fun!
