Wandering Through the Quirky Charm of Comillas
#summervacay Comillas is one of those towns where you just wander around with zero plans and somehow stumble on the coolest stuff. It’s got this artsy, old-school vibe but also feels super chill. The streets are full of cute corners, cozy cafés, and some really funky architecture. Like, El Capricho by Gaudí is here, and it totally feels like a surprise in such a small town.
The beach is right there too, and it’s perfect for a quick dip or just laying back with your feet in the sand. You can walk from the beach straight into the town center and grab some tapas without even changing out of your flip flops.
There’s also this random mix of gothic, modernist, and traditional buildings that somehow just works. Every turn has a bit of history or something pretty to stare at. Super walkable, super photogenic, and super laid back. If you’re in Cantabria, Comillas is definitely worth a lazy afternoon or even a full day of slow exploring.
