Egypt Red Sea | Hurghada Dolphin Snorkeling Guide
| Hurghada Dolphin Snorkeling Guide.. Two people booked for 54 euros, and after arriving at the beach, an additional environmental protection fee of 6 euros or 5 dollars for two people will be charged. If you can't book it domestically, you can try again abroad. It's not the cheapest but it's more worry-free, and the overall experience is very good!! If you have the energy, you can also go directly to the street to find it. There are many dive shops on Google Maps, and the cheapest should be around 20 dollars per person.
The project includes: round-trip transportation to chase dolphins
Two snorkeling sessions (no need to prepare masks, fins, and life jackets)
Free drinks, buffet lunch, and fruits after lunch, banana boat
Not included: paid photography and videography, sunscreen, towels
Staff will contact you via WhatsApp and email one or two days in advance and ask for your passport and hotel room number, and will also arrange a pick-up time at the hotel entrance on the day. Pick-up is roughly at 8:30 am, and the trip ends at 3:00 pm, returning to the hotel.
The snorkeling island is a bit south of Orange Bay, and there is no island landing throughout the trip.
A car picks up about 10 people, and the whole boat has about 30 people. Except for us, all are European and Russian tourists, and the guides and crew are local people who speak English.
Dolphin chasing guarantees that everyone will see dolphins, but whether you can take pictures of dolphins depends on luck! There is also a chance to encounter dolphins while snorkeling, which also depends on luck!
The guide will explain the precautions before snorkeling, and remember your boat and guide before getting into the water, don't get lost!
I brought my DJI Osmo Action for underwater photography and video recording. Although the bare machine is waterproof, I still added a waterproof case. If you need underwater videos, you can contact the guide or buy them in advance when booking.
For those who have never snorkeled before, two snorkeling sessions of about 30-40 minutes are enough to experience the charm of the Red Sea. Even if you can swim, wear a life jacket for the first snorkeling, as the waves are not small!
Personally, I think sunscreen mud is unnecessary. I applied sunscreen + sunscreen mud, and the sunscreen mud stuck to the mask and was difficult to remove without makeup remover, but the crew did not blame us, they were very nice!
During the trip, there will be crew members from small boats coming on board with ice buckets to sell drinks and snacks. Since the snorkeling boat itself has free drinks, there is no need to buy them. The banana boat is a boat shaped like a banana towed by a jet ski, which will randomly make sharp turns and throw a few people off. Friends who like excitement can try it!
