Drottninnggatan Shopping Street is the main pedestrian street in Central Stockholm. It runs for probably 10-12 blocks maybe more and is loaded with retail shops selling all kinds of merchandise, restaurants, and coffee shops. You will find Stockholm full of relevant shopping streets, but Drottninggatan nearby the central station (about 10 mins walk) is very recommended because it is accessible and easy to find. 📝note: If you are a first time traveler to Sweden, it is recommended to bring a credit card with you, as most of the shops and restaurants DO NOT ACCEPT CASH! ⚠️ One big mistake when I went is that, I did not research further. Sweden is a cashless country, there are limited shops that accepts cash but you can barely find them in the city. Not even international brands like IKEA nor Starbucks accept cash which was super frustrating. It took a lot of walking and talking to people where to find shops that accepted my China bank debit card. (I do not have a credit card, fyi). ☑️This experience traveling to Sweden is surely one to remember. It may not be pleasant at first, but it taught me an important lesson.
