The Douro Valley, east of Porto, is a symbol of Portugal's fine wines. Speaking of Portuguese wine, it is naturally inseparable from the Douro Valley, which is a representative place of origin of Portuguese wine. There are wineries on one side of the valley and restaurants and souvenir shops on the other. There are famous villages and spectacular vineyards on both sides of the strait, and the scenery is beautiful.

Dauro Valley
The Douro Valley is a region steeped in history and culture, with evidence of human settlement dating back 20,000 years. The Romans cultivated vines here, and the region became a major wine exporter after the 12th century. The Douro Valley is most famous as the source of Port wine since the mid-17th century. The Treaty of Windsor in 1386, which established a strong trading relationship between England and Portugal, was instrumental in the development of the Port wine trade.
Today, the Douro Valley offers a range of activities and attractions:
* Wine tasting: Visit local vineyards to experience the winemaking process and sample Port and table wines.
* Scenic drives: The N222 road offers stunning views of the valley.
* River cruises: Enjoy the beauty of the valley from the Douro River.
* Hiking: Explore the region's beauty and heritage through various trails, such as the Port Wine Trail and the Douro International Natural Park.
* Train ride: Take the scenic Porto to Pocinho train route.
* Local cuisine: Savor the diverse flavors of Portuguese cuisine#daurovalley

Every romantic city must have a beautiful river.
Like the French Seine, the Vltava River in Prague, the Danube in Budapest.
I am convinced that I often walk around the river to see if I can make people feel happy.
These rivers are not shining by themselves. They have something in common. There are beautiful buildings on both sides of the river and the river must be blue in the sun~
For me, the Douro River is also a walk. After a few countries, it is quite like, no surprise, but really comfortable.
A lot of boats on the river are carrying barrels, which is very cute.
About the Louis I Bridge on the Douro River, it is more beautiful than the recent one. The bridge was designed by the designer of the Eiffel Tower to commemorate the then King Louis I.
